I saw a cat today at a grocery shop – it was very tame, sleeping on top of a plastic bin. I fondled, er, I mean caressed it and it didn’t flinch or even move but just gave a lazy meow. I love cats like these and it got me thinking about getting a cat. I have been deprived of feline company for too long.

I went to a pet shop and saw a Persian cat I really liked. I love her personality, she’s affectionate and playful, jumping at my fingers when I played with it and biting it (not seriously, just playfully). I love that cat and would have bought it home right away but it was going for RM 1,300 which is a little too high for my budget.

I’m still thinking about the cat right now. It’s very nice and her greatest asset is her playful and affectionate personality. She would make great lolcats posts. πŸ™‚

I love cats and I want to get one to put in my room. I’ll give it a litter box and find a lint remover to get rid of the fur she’ll shed on my clothes and sleep with it. RM 1,300 is a bit steep though…so I’m thinking about other options.

I want a cat, it would make me less lonely. πŸ™‚

A feline companion, so to speak. I hear it does wonders for depression and mood swings too. πŸ˜‰

  1. Ola nuffnanger!
Why don’t you adopt one from SPCA? It’s a lot cheaper, plus the cat would have gotten all of its neutering (important if you don’t wnat your kitty to bang around and get feline HIV), deworming and vaccination all done for you!
If you just want a furry companion, you don’t need her to be pedigree!!!
Still, I daresay most stray cats are very tame if you let them. Next time you see one, crouch real low and call to it gently. They may hesitate at first but if you show you’re sincere (that means stay down load and make no sudden movements all the while, calling softly) they will come πŸ™‚
You could even adopt one of those but remember if you do, it needs to be neutered, dewormed and vaccinated.
    PEACE OUT

  3. I just got two 5 week old kittens, that are driving me nuts, but I love them. Consider getting two, they keep each other company while you are at work/bar.
I also want to see the pics of your cut up arms and legs from them trying to climb you or from playing. πŸ™‚ One of mine seems to thnink my bare leg is a tree. Quite painful, but it gets your mind off whatever is bothering you.

  4. My cats does funny tricks the gray tabby one could put on paw over her eyes and I say no peeping and she would not let go her paw till I say you can look. My black one would meow very loud when my cell phone ring to let me about it. She also enjoy sitting on top my computer when I on it which is right now also.
I have to be careful not to leave my cup of tea on table she would stick her paw in it to taste it. I see my sister Amy read you blog too. Well I have two cats and also an animal vet.

  5. I have a Saimee cat and he can be very picky on food. He like catfood with all beef in it and same brand too. Other brands he would tip his dish over spilling food all over the floor and walk away. I see Vickie is also a New Age woman like her sister Amy. I am also ABC live in Calif. I am a professor at Berkeley U in my 30.

  6. I had a cat once but I had to give her away because my mom said I couldn’t keep her. πŸ™ But, you should deffinetly get one! They’re great animals and are not loud like dogs.

  7. i would advise not to get a long hair cat…especially not a pure pedigree if possible..they are prone to sickness..medium hair is good enough..cats are good..don’t need to pay much attention to them and they STAY CLEAN hahaha…

  9. Sean bring over your Siamese Cat to 9th and Judah. That my office I had also had years ago a Siamese that does the same thing. Just feed him same food and he will be happy. My black cat like to take things from my makeup purse when it open and it under the bathroom sink. I found all my missing things there.
Pets can be so delightful to have and there one dog like to tell his master playtime by bringing out all his dogtoys from his box himself. Master said later so dog carry all toys back to box for later.

  11. Cyren: Hello there! I don’t know the local SPCA places and from experience (not mine, a friends) the mistreated pets tends to be less friendly and prone to problems like pissing themselves when they feel threatened and is generally an introverted lot. I want a friendly cat to comfort me and make me feel better, it sounds selfish but I want my cat to love me too. It’s honorable and all to adopt but I just need a friendly cat right now. Stressed out…
Cheers for the info though. πŸ™‚
Oh, and I had a stray cat once, I’m good with cats. I don’t know why but most cats like me while they get freaked out by other people. Guess I have one of the faces that cats like (but dogs hate). I used to care for a stray that’s surprisingly loyal to me (you hardly see that in cats) and comes whenever I call from the backyard.
    Cheers Cyren! πŸ™‚
kimberlycun: I’m more a cat person. I’m not really into dogs…
JunJun-Riko: I love cats as well. Very lofty and arrogant, but feminine and affectionate if they want to be. Independant too, and I love the feeling of their fur and the vibration from their purring and warmth when they sleep on my lap.
Hmm…that didn’t come out quite right, but you know what I mean. πŸ™‚
annant: I think kittens are much cuter than puppies. The good thing about dogs is that they are very loyal, but I prefer cats.
KY: Haha! There’s not enough advertorials coming in. I guess the AdSense cheque that just cleared would pay for the Persian but I need the funds for something else. There’s a huge cost involved in taking proper care of a pedigree cat.
I want one for the companion when I get home from work. I just miss the feeling of a cat meowing and rubbing herself against me (doesn’t sound quite right again, but you know what I mean) and purring. It makes me feel loved and appreciated. πŸ™‚
Keith: Two! Yeah, I guess they could keep each other company but what if their personality doesn’t fit? I’ve seen cats that drive each other nuts.
I have a problem of not being able to equally love two cats at one time, so it’ll be a bit unfair for them. I want one. πŸ™‚
kutucat: Yeah, I’m very much of a cat person. Cats > dogs any day. πŸ™‚
Dr. Tan: Eh, I don’t want a litter of kittens. I want a female cat, I prefer female cats over male cats. Yeah, I prefer affectionate cats too. It’s quite hard to find one as affectionate as the one I just saw. Some cats can be quite moody. I could tell when my previous cat was moody when she has this look in her eyes (a grumpy stare) and I know not to touch her then coz she doesn’t like it and will make scratching gestures at me.
I love that cat though coz she never scratches me (but scratched other members of my family) but just gestures, and I like to think it’s coz she knows I love her and she loves me too. πŸ™‚
Yeah, lolcats always make my day better. I read it when I’m stressed out. πŸ™‚
Vickie: Wow, that’s amazing! You trained that one well. Yeah, my cat (RIP) used to drink from the very same glass of milk that I drink from, and I don’t mind (although she puts her entire face into the mug instead of tasting it with her paw) but other people think it’s disgusting. My girlfriend hates cats (don’t know what’s wrong with her) and won’t let me touch her without washing my hands first after I touch a cat. Hmph.
Sean: Haha! That’s one arrogant cat you have there. πŸ™‚
Very picky indeed…but yeah, some cats are like that. My cat won’t eat dried cat food, only canned cat food. Unless I put milk to make it all soggy, then she may eat it.
jessy: Yeah, that’s another problem with dogs that I didn’t think of until you mentioned it. Dogs are loud when they bark and they annoy neighbours. I know coz my neighbour’s dog annoys me and he’s two houses down the road! πŸ™‚
janel: Hey, are you serious? That would be great! I want a female one (so I don’t have to neuter it) with a nice temperament. As kittens, they would be easy to train e.g. make them affectionate by loving them. I’ll drop you an email.
Nana: Yeah, that’s why having a pedigree cat is expensive. Long hair cats looks nice and furry but can wreck havoc on your attire. Lint removers can’t even get all the stuff they leave behind. Yup, cats clean themselves well and I like the smell of cats. πŸ™‚
Darren: I like clingy cats. It makes me feel like I’m appreciated. πŸ™‚
I just hope I don’t get teh Basement Cat. πŸ˜‰
velverse: Heh! The kitten I saw wasn’t lazy at all. Quite active an curious, but then again, most kittens are like that.
Haha! I watched that movie too. I love that evil cat, and her scrunchy face. πŸ™‚
suituapui: Haha! Cats are naturally promiscuous. πŸ˜‰
Cats also live very violent lives and are risk takers, which is why most of them die very early. Perhaps I like them coz cats have Aries characteristics. πŸ™‚
    YingYang: Cats > dogs. πŸ™‚
Pixelmeow: Yeah, I’ll love to make lolcats posts. They always cheer me up and I want to give back to the lolcat community too. πŸ™‚
Tom: It’s interesting how the lines are drawn. I hardly ever see anyone who likes both cats and dogs equally. πŸ™‚
circuit boy: Hmm…come to think of it, you have a point there. But then again, Aries have similar personalities.
Vickie: Hey, that’s one good thing about dogs…if they’re obedient and loyal and all that. I still prefer cats though. πŸ™‚
cynthia: Yeah, it’s working fine here now too. It was just for Streamyx users coz dial up can apparently still access sixthseal.com. Rectified itself just now. Cheers! πŸ™‚
    bongkersz: Cats rule. πŸ™‚
goolooloo.com: I got a friend who does something to a cat that will not be mentioned here. She’s a girl from Kuching, and the cat is female. Will tell you the story in person when you get back. πŸ™‚
