  1. i’ve never tried to dine in Coca, one of the most important reason is its price..i’m not a big-spender on expensive food but i don’t mind if i were to win this set meal voucher..LOL 😛

  2. Got such thing as sunway parade ah? Far as I know, there is one in Subang Parade, which has been there for a long while and there used to be one in Sunway Pyramid. The space is now occupied by Sushi Zanmai and Zen.

  3. Been there a few times. The best thing about COCA is definitely the special chili sauce. Sweet, spicy, tangy, laced with sesame seeds and chopped coriander. Everything else doesn’t matter that much anymore.
Not a big fan of seafood like me?
The chili sauce makes you wolf it down. No smell. No nothing. Just wonderful wonderful COCA chili sauce.
Clichéd but, often imitated, never duplicated.
    Trust me.
The seafood and all. They’re ok la. Like I said, not a big fan.
Oh oh oh. Make sure you order a pomfret. They’ll slice up the flesh and use the carcass as the stock enhancer. That makes the final steamboat ritual of noodle cooking soooooo much better.
If all else fail. Ask for more chili sauce.
    Heh.
Good enough ah? Since I am the first to give a comment review thingy here. Consider a bit la k?
Thanks HB. If you’re still broke for the month we can go split the voucher. My gf just left the cuntree.

  6. i had my first (and tentatively the last) meal in coca steamboat six years ago up in genting whilst i was having a massive food poisoning (not in relation to coca as i had it the night before). needless to say, the food at coca tasted horrible as a result of my condition and hence i have always assumed that the food there isn’t so great…
may be this would be a perfect opportunity to change my opinion perhaps?

  7. Well the first thing I thought of, and I’m sure many others would have thought the same thing, is that the name Coca has something to do with a plant in the family Erythroxylaceae, native to north-western South America.

  8. HB,
Why Southeast Asian call it steamboat while in states and Hong Kong and Taiwan called it HotPot?
I been trying to find out in web but so far nothing.

  10. It always give me an impression that they include some Yayo in their steamboat.
Too bad never tried one myself.
I don’t want to end up holding a fork and shouting to the restaurant, “Every one meet my new friend!”

That’s why I don’t eat there often.. so I do hope I would win.

Anyway, you’re not too late, this contest is going to be chosen by Coca based on random.org – a random number generator, not who comments first.
But yeah, if you don’t get it, I’ll bring you there since I have the RM 150 voucher for two myself. 🙂

  17. nvr tried that before..anyhow, rm75 per person is kinda expensive for a student. That is when other steamboat restaurant is making big bucks by set rm25 per person. However, looking the quality of the steamboat through the pics, it seem gd enough to make one drool especially da fat juicy prawn boiling in the tom yam paste soup.. Anyhow, this is just the 1st impression when looking at it

  22. been to Coca several times. service is acceptable but not exceptional. tom yam soup tastes great. sometimes the ingredients for the steamboat look dry, like they have been cut and prepared hours and hours ago.
suggestion, offer kimchee flavoured steamboat. like “nabe” style.

  23. The lighting in the restaurant is quite dark. Why not install some better quality lighting which will bring out the colour of the steamboat, and make the food more delicious-looking?
