My new studio apartment

*pleased*

living room

I have found a new place in record time and for once I’m not settling for it coz I’m in a rush to get a roof over my head. I really, really like it. =D

Behold! My new studio unit!

bedroom

I went straight after work so I didn’t have a digicam or dSLR with me. The crappy photos don’t do it justice, especially with a hyperbolic word like “behold”, which should probably be reserved for divine entities. :p

dining table

It’s a studio so there are no doors to speak of. Open concept. I can even see the toilet from my dining table. πŸ™‚

kitchen

It’s fully furnished and comes with everything…even the kitchen sink (obviously la).

infinity pool

There’s also an infinity pool, Jacuzzis and saunas so I’m looking forward to moving in this weekend!

The only thing that’s lacking is broadband so I’m going to get my Streamyx transferred over to this studio! I’m not switching coz Streamyx has been working reliably for me all this while. =D

  1. That looks suspiciously like the Peninsula Residence in Damansara Heights…is it? If it is, it’s a pretty decent place! Stayed there a few times over the years and have found it to be a rather pleasing joint.

  2. Christine: Yeah, I love the place! πŸ™‚
I’ll take proper pics when I move in Sunday. =D
Jace: It’s not Peninsula, but I pass by that place whenever I drive past. I know where it is, very nice suites there too. πŸ™‚
fufu: Ya, I love studio units…just the right size so you don’t feel like there’s a lot of space. =D
e: Haha! I doubt it’s real LV. Previous tenant was female though so it’s a bit cleaner. Stereotype I know, but tends to be true. πŸ™‚
Tan Yee Hou: Haha! Can, can will pass him the keys if I’m not around. =D
KY: Heh! That sounds like a surefire way of ruining the couch. πŸ™‚
Dylan: Yup, it’s small but cozy. I like! =D

  3. ah loon: This one is RM 1,300 per month + some other utilities and misc service fees which I don’t completely understand. πŸ™‚
Simon Seow: Yeah, I don’t like to get stuck in traffic jams in the morning. πŸ™‚
sharon: Hmm…I’m not sure how big it is, probably around 500-600 square feet? It’s quite small really, but perfect for me. πŸ™‚
It costs 1.3k per month with one car park spot. =D
Momon: Nope, that one a bit too expensive so I settled somewhere else. Was thinking about Mutiara Damansara area for a while since SPRINT is not very jammed in the morning before I found this place. πŸ™‚

  5. This means if I want to come and use your jacuzzi, you have to be out. Hehehe eh I sent you an email two days ago but no reply again.
Free to meet up on the morning of Nov 22nd?
MidValley? As usual, Yvonne does not drive so she prefers some place that she can get to by train.
1Utama is not reachable by train. Or else we can do it like before, I can head to KL Semtral instead.

It’s gotta be after the weekend of 21st though coz I’m going to a wedding in Penang. πŸ™‚
Jessica: *shifty eyed* You’re not a cop right? πŸ˜‰
Email me and I’ll tell you. πŸ™‚
gypsy-on-the-move: Haha! Ya, I’m pretty sure I won’t have to worry about that. The entire place is air conditioned. πŸ™‚
annna: Yeah it is very small. T_T
There is still space for a bathtub (!!!) though, surprisingly. πŸ™‚
Yvonne Foong: I’ll be headed down to Penang then, have a wedding to attend. πŸ™‚
    What about the weekend after?
jg: Sure, feel free to drop by just give me a call first to see if I’m home. πŸ™‚
Mr J: It’s an entire studio unit, no doors (except for the bathroom sliding door) so it kinda saves space that way. I like studios. =D

  8. Hmmm…for the price you’re paying(1.3k), maybe you should consider purchasing your own house next time. I’m sure you’ll want to get married and have kids later on and um, you’ll want some privacy.
PS. I sure your gf will probably wanna avoid eating while you’re taking a dump. LOL

Heh! Well, there is a sliding door so no worries. Not sure if the smell will escape though. πŸ˜‰

  11. Been very busy and didn’t have much time to read the blogs that I normally do. Yours included.
So, couple of weeks back, I thought I saw you in Pusat Bandar Damansara but then I thought to myself, what are the odds of that.
Guess, it must have been you after all.

  12. Hey huai bin, i’m keen on this place too. any makan places around the area? also, does it include cleaning and electricity bills? cheers

  13. sue anne: Hmm…yes, there are eating places around but it closes quite early, unless you want to go to mamak. It does not include electricity bills and cleaning – the latter is in the condo management fees while you have to pay for you own utilities. It’s a great place though. πŸ™‚
