Amsterdam delights

Euro 50

This is a reproduction of one of my favorite t-shirts in Amsterdam. I’m a huge fan of statement tees. It’s quite catchy except for some minor errors since it was printed. Euro 5 would only get you one of the more common strains of cannabis – Thai Skunk goes for Euro 3 while the perennial favorite (pictured above), the indica based White Widow goes for Euro 8 per gram. Popular strains and winners from the Cannabis Cup like the Cheese sativa strains will set you back upwards of Euro 10.

It should be noted that even the most basic strains in Amsterdam is MUCH stronger than the stuff you’ll probably get anywhere else. smirk

Magic mushrooms has been illegal for quite a while but smartshops get around it by selling magic truffles instead. It’s basically the same thing, with psilocybin and psilocin being the active compounds, but a legal loophole leaves commerce…unmolested.

Mushrooms are illegal but spores (for growing) and truffles (the underground bits of the mushroom for eating) is legal. It’s not Euro 15 anymore, but close enough for government work – the “stronger” fungi can cost up to Euro 20 per 15 gram dose box.

That’s it for Friday updates from sixthseal.com! Have a good weekend. <3

  1. Cool! White Widow is my favourite strain too. It is a bit expensive in the UK though since we don’t have the freedom of the Dutch. πŸ˜‰

    • Hello Stevie! Yeah, I like White Widow too – nice indica strain, strong and mellow, good as a nightcap. πŸ™‚

Oh, you have it better than Malaysia, I bet.

    • Hmm…I’m not too sure. It’s those windows with women inside in the Red Light District where you go in and the curtain gets pulled.

    • I didn’t go for sex either. A lot of the girls were hot but have never been into the punting scene. I’m more interested in smartshops and coffeeshops. =D

The Red Light District is much larger than this, this is just the border of it, and the start of the window girls. There are more alleys inside. It’s not as dodgy as I thought. πŸ™‚

…and strolling by is always refreshing with the girls and what not in their window rooms smiling at you. πŸ˜‰

OMG you really missed out if you didn’t go to the coffeeshops. It’s one of the things Amsterdam is famous for. T_T

      Next time! =D

    • I swear it’s an awesome place! πŸ™‚

However, too much of a good thing and all that – by the end I couldn’t even get as stoned as I wanted on 2 grams of White Widow smoking with a vaporizer!

Tolerance really builds up quick when you wake and bake.

The very expensive ice hash is rock solid though, floored me on the first toke. Supposed to have a ridiculous amount of THC – 70% or something.

I don’t doubt it. Very, very strong.

    • Nice! It sounds like a lot of fun! 2 hours by train isn’t too bad, was planning to go to Rotterdam to check out the gabba scene. I like the coffeeshop beside where I stay though coz I was very regular, nice people behind the counter and good ice hash.

I had quite a bit of tolerance by then (smoking 2 grams of White Widow on their vaporizers in 15 minutes) and tried the ice hash.

I can’t explain how strong that is except that BEFORE I finished inhaling…I was already stoned. I found it hard to finish the toke. Heh!

Expensive but worth it. Ice-o-lator hash is the bomb!

        • Heh! Yeah, I was told it was very strong, and nodded, assuming it was the usual coffeeshop talk to warn non-locals but whoa before I even finished my lungful, I was stoned. πŸ™‚

          Best Euro 52 I ever spent! =D

  3. Hi HB,

When are you coming to California? Gotta sample some of our green delicacies! BTW I remember back in the early 2000s you were going to school in Melbourne? I was just wondering if you had ever heard of the TV series Underbelly from channel nine? It is about the criminal underworld in and around Melbourne from 1995 to 2004. Underbelly wiki Perhaps one of your eckies came from Carl Williams or the Morans. I would recommend to anyone that hasn’t seen it to check it out. Keep up your good blog work, always enjoy reading your pieces.

    • I’m not sure when I can go to the US but I plan to! Go all around the states from coast to coast. πŸ™‚

Yup, remember all that, one prominent figure was shot and killed while fetching his son from football practise and the criminal underworld came to the funeral in droves. It was covered by the papers. The who’s who of Melbourne’s crime empires.

  4. It’s a funeral bell, no less, except that it sounds like your ulitmate goal and deliberately having one hanging around your neck.

No, I’m sorry it’s not sound.

    • Well, I guess it depends on how you see it. I’ve never told anyone how to live their lifes. Believe that’s personal choice, my friend. πŸ˜‰

    • Yeah, ice hash is seriously intense stuff! It’s like hard liquor to beer for cannabis. I was already stoned before I even FINISHED smoking my hit. Heh!

      Good stuff eh? πŸ™‚
