…to be 22 again

assignments

A friend of mine has been staying over my place and I have watched with great interest as she works on her assignments. Well, it’s not her assignments per se but rather the energy that she has. I have almost forgotten what it’s like to be 22 again.

I remember having heaps of energy when I was in my early 20’s – would be partying and staying out most of the day.

belly piercing

Bonnie has just got this awesome belly piercing too. I was supposed to go with her but I was busy on that day so I didn’t. That’s one part I miss a lot too – just being impulsive and doing whatever I like.

Growing old is all part of life but all too often, I find myself tiring easily. I can’t kick it like I could when I was 8 years younger. I like the progression that being in my 30’s affords but hey, won’t you love it to be young again? πŸ™‚

Won’t it be great to be #foreveryoung?

    • Well, you still look great Kim, no worries on that account. πŸ˜€

      …but don’t you miss the early 20’s?

The time when you think you’re invincible, you can conquer the world and you’re afriad of nothing.

Man those were the best years of my life. πŸ™‚

    • Hello Janet! πŸ™‚

Well, I guess we all gradually mellow out with age but 22 is way too young!

I was still raising hell and having fun at 25 so I reckon you still have a couple of years to go.

I wonder what took the energy out of me? The first arrest or going to rehab?

      Hmm…

Anyway, you’re still young so enjoy and have fun! πŸ™‚

    • Yeah, that’s one problem with being immortal but I’m thinking more along the lines of aging slowly rather than live for a thousand years…

…although that last bit sounds pretty good too. πŸ™‚

Imagine the wonders and advances in technology and science you’ll get to see!

  2. what would you do if 22 again? have sex 3 times before breakfast, do drugs, drive 135km/hr on the foot path, rob a few banks. father numerous offsprings with strangers, change your name to Charlie Harper, smoke and drink hell of a lot more.

    • Heh! Far from it mate, that looks like a path of destruction.

(not that I’ve not known that path, am well aquainted with it)

Well, if I’m in my early 20’s again, I’ll switch my degree and do med school, study to become a doctor and get my specialization 2 years from now.

      Won’t that be fun? πŸ™‚

    • Eh? Why? What did you upload?

I know YouTube gives you 3 warnings – it can be anything. My first warning was coz someone reported a video of me cutting myself.

Apparently that’s NOT OKAY with YouTube. Self mutilation and all that. I had to remove it before they unblocked my account

Songs with copyrights it not okay too, you’ll get a warning for that as well. Nothing much you can do about it except write to them?

I use vimeo.com for stuff that is controversial. It doesn’t have strict enforced censorship.

    • Ya! I know what you mean Eiling but you’re still young compared to me. 😑

I would go back in time too. It’s therapeutic. πŸ™‚

  3. I would give anything to be 30 again. Wait until you turn 58. The years went by like nothing.

You look in the mirror expecting to see a 19 year old kid and you see a horrible old man. Nothing happens when you’re ready, you can’t control it.
