How does she know who I am?

…and why does she give a damn about me?

ling

I was out with Ling for the whole day and the reason she has a name now is coz the topic came out while eating pan mee after running through the heavy rain, of all things. She asked me to call her (beep) Ling in the blog. That’s not exactly her real name but sounds like her real name.

I said cannot.

I already have a friend with that name.

Coincidentally, there are a lot of people who’re called Ling (the “Ling” part is her real name BTW, the *beep* bit is not) so thus, the anonymous person now has a name. smirk

books

Anyway, we were at a book store earlier that day. We went to Paradigm Mall and looked at kids workbooks and board games till we lost track of time.

Oh, and stickers!

stickers

She stuck one in my car too. I thought she’s damn cute coz she was looking at these fluid filled stickers and was so entranced by them. :)

Ling told me about this Adrian Mole type book by a local writer with illustrations and while walking past the travel section I noticed she was flipping through a Singaporean book but when I wanted to buy it for her she said she didn’t want it coz it’s expensive.

I thought girls like this were extinct dy. *touched*

tong pak fu

She had an appointment for a massage and aromatherapy session so we had this dessert at Tong Pak Fu.

tracka durian snow ice
Tracka Durian Snow Ice (RM 14.80)

It’s quite good and supposedly made from Tracka durian. I was sulking throughout dessert though. Haha! Sorry baby.

I sent her and a friend to a massage and aromatherapy session and immediately came back to buy the book she liked. I asked for it to be gift wrapped but Popular does not provide that service.

However, I managed to sweet talk convince the girl working there to wrap it for me. She said it’ll not be nice but she’s willing to help, which was very nice of her.

popular girl

I had already decided to buy it for her when I saw her reading it but wanted it to be a surprise so I slipped it into the bag of purchases and didn’t tell her about it.

I wanted her to find it when she opened the bag. I love you dear.

contact

Listen to Iron Maiden baby with me.

I’m lucky to have you. :)

    • I remember those stickers from primary school! :)

It’s totally another thing to see her so happy while shaking the stickers though. Haha! It just makes me want to hug her. :D

    • Oh, it wasn’t this. I know the Adrian Tan’s The Teenage Textbook. I think it might have been you or Catherine Stephen who told me about it. I liked the book, it’s Singaporean though, not Malaysian.

The Adrian Mole “inspired” (haha) book I’m talking about was written by a relatively young chap. Malaysian, published recently, maybe 2011.

It’s a paperback (no hard covers as far as I’m aware of) and it’s written in (presumably) his own handwriting with a few illustrations to describe his childhood.

I forgot the title, have to ask Ling.

    • Thanks Sherrie! :)

It’s a lot of fun to spend time with it, it always makes me very, very happy.

It makes *us* happy. I had to rush like mad to get the book coz I also had to take a typhoid jab for tomorrow so after my meeting I just went back to Paradigm and the clinic there.

      No la, no suspense.

We’ve decided not to hide it anymore, people will find out sooner or later, but we’re not going to announce it either. It’ll just come when it comes.

I’m really very lucky to have her! <3

    • Cheers bro! :)

We discussed it and we decided that we’re not going to hide our relationship but we won’t announce it either. People will find out sooner or later anyway, so we’ll just let it take it’s natural course.

I’m really very lucky to have her! :D

    • You’re also called Ling! :)

I have another friend who has a name almost similar to hers. The pronunciation is the same somemore. Haha!

Yeah, she’s very cute and adorable, until she chooses to be stubborn.

      Kidding dear, love you.

      • I know right?? Alarmed me half to death, hew!! *spank*
Name similar is one thing, even if character similar also one thing, the exact emotions that you actually have for a person would still be totally different. The heart knows ;)

Awwwww.. Eh, siapa tak stubborn, you have your own stubbornness oso lah, hor Ling??

  2. Awww! Our loverboy is floating on Cloud 9 with love cupids flying all over! Nice to be in love, really!

I thought the cupids went to The Bread House today during lunch. Was the lovey dovey couple you???

  3. I remember them; those were pretty popular during my childhood days although I would go gaga for the Hello Kitty and Powerpuff Girls one. =D

Nah, girls like that still exist but it’s quite hard to come across them. =)

    • Yeah, in my childhood too! :)

Indeed, well, a rare breed would be better to describe them in this materialistic world.

That’s why I love her too. She’s the yin to my yang although she’s also Aries.

    • Thanks Yvonne! :)

Yeah, I really love her and we’ve been through the usual teething pains and I love her all the more for it.

    • Haha!

Well, she has a lot on her mind so I try to keep her happy all the time.

I don’t succeed all the time, but I really try my best and give 100% to her. :)

  4. Darn it, Huai Bin, u put ‘Ling’ den I started to wonder weird weird stuff, cuz my good friend…whom u also know is also called Ling. She is Yee Ling. (Mommyling)

  5. Ling? short form of ‘darLing’ ;-)
I like stickers…esp those adorable ones. I rmbr few yrs ago I stuck a heart shape sticker on BF’s car (radio area)…the sticker is still there until today! hahahaha :-p

    • Nope, it’s her real name but that works too! :)

Nice! OMG, you made me feel bad, I accidentally made the sticker drop. T_T

Sweet of you to do that Melissa!

    • Thanks Andrew! :)

It’s actually her name but I don’t really call her Ling in person. I call her by her full name (without the surname) or just “dear”. I prefer the latter, coz she calls me that too. :D

    • Haha! Who knows? I have a feeling it might come out before this weekend. :)

She’s a really nice person, I always feel lucky to have her. I’m sorry I sometimes am not perfect baby, but I really love you and I’m yours 100%.
