I have been busy with moving house lately and there’s so much left to do!
I realized that I have accumulated a whole lot of stuff during my time here. I’ve asked my dear to keep some of the bigger appliances (food processor, coffee maker etc) but I still have a lot of things at home, namely old clothes and books.
I want to keep the books but I don’t think I have the space. As for my old clothes, anyone knows any place which I can drop them off to charity or something?
Anyway, sorry for the lack of updates, I’m just sorting out my new place and will be back soon! Thanks! π
Short mention:
Water rationing has been lifted, which is a great thing. I remember there being a huge fine for stuff like washing your car. I have missed the simple things in life…like giving my Xperia Z1 a good bath. Haha! I’ve seriously been washing it when it gets dirty, especially when it gets *sticky* in our hot and humid weather.
On a more interesting note, I have brought my smartphone to Germany and France! I’m going to share a couple of great photos from my trip, including this amazing Panoramic Sweep photo I took at the Louvre! It’s such a good thing that the Z1 is waterproof, there are a lot of situations where I can use it to take photos where other people would have to be really careful with their smartphones! π
moving house?! π whoo-hoooo! CONGRATS! where are you moving from and to? hehe. #kaypoh.
I don’t know yet! π
Haha! Seriously, I’m still looking! You know any places to rent? I just want a place to stay before I can move together with my better half later this year, a half-year rent, so it’s a bit hard.
hmm, not too good with property unfortunately, mate. but iproperty helps. maybe? heh. i’m really quite clueless when it comes to these adult things.. \: good luck though!
Thanks! π
I’ve moved to a new place now, it’s awesome!
Try calling some welfare organization, they may want something useful like clothes and books.
I will! π
I plan to give away most of my old clothes!
Phewwwww!!!! You’ve been quiet so long I was beginning to get worried. Your old clothes? Hmmm…can’t donate them to me, that’s for sure – not my size. LOL!!! Hope all’s great at your new place. Cheers, mate!
Yeah, been really busy with moving! π
Part of the problem is that I only need a place to stay for 1/2 a year before I move in with my better half…and that’s going to be a hard time to find a place for since landlords usually want long term leases…
You’re alive! I was in the camp of being totally worried about you! I’m so glad things are going well and nothing is wrong. I wish you well on the move. We’ve sure done it enough! Once we needed a 3 month rental between longer-term rentals. I sent an e-mail to EVERYONE we knew and a friend (in another country!) hooked us up with her friend near where we lived and it all worked out. I’m sure it would be too spendy for such a short time, but there’s always http://www.vrbo.com You might find something there. Take care!!!!
Thanks for the concern Mari! π
I’m alive and well!
Sorry, I haven’t been online for a really long time so didn’t get to update or comment on blogs coz I was so busy with moving! I really accumulated a whole bunch of stuff last time I moved even though a lot of it was given away.
Thanks for the tip, I got a new place dy!
There’s always charity boxes (along roadsides or shopping malls) where you can drop inside..
Oh yeah, I remember seeing those last time! π
I don’t remember exactly where though…
Ahhh!! Finally you updated! I was actually thinking if smtg had happened and wanted to text you!
Thanks for the concern Mel! π
I haven’t been online for a long time so didn’t update or comment on blogs, didn’t even get to read blogs coz I was so busy with moving!
You can rent at the service apartments at Hartamas for short term basis though more expensive. Old clothes can dump to me for charity.
Oh yeah, I saw them, it’s like hotel prices!
I won’t be able to afford that!
Haha! A lot of my clothes very old already though. π
Don’t worry about not being able to update as frequently as you want to, HB. We all understand. =) I think it took me about 3 weeks of procrastination and some time management before I was able to update my blog. =O
As for your clothes and books, try asking Salvation Army or the Red Cross. Moving house definitely incurs a lot of filtering and clearing. I’ve been there and done that multiple times. O.o
Hope to hear from you soon, HB! Send my regards to Ling too. =)
Thanks for the kind comments and suggestions Ciana! π
Yeah, I wasn’t able to blog, comment or even read other blogs. I didn’t even read the news for a long time!
I was totally offline, had so much to move and I asked my landlord for extensions 4 times (!!!).
