Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans

I went to the Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans premiere screening last night courtesy of the good people at Nuffnang. It was held at Cineleisure at The Curve and security was pretty tight since the movie will only be released on the 22nd of January.

There were people in RELA uniforms (?) patrolling the cinema throughout the movie, which kinda adds to the viewing experience. Heh!

Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans is actually a prequel to the first two series. It goes a lot into the history behind the vampires (OMG! They’ve been with us since eons!) and the character development of Viktor (which you’ll remember from the first Underworld). You’ll get to see Sonja (Rhona Mitra) generally kicking ass and chewing bubble gum (except bubble gum wasn’t invented yet) at that point.

I managed to get an Rise of the Lycans keychain and a poster of the movie. =D

Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans will be in cinemas starting from the 22nd of January. I won’t spoil it for you, but don’t miss it if you’re an Underworld fan. I loved the movie! I’ve been a big fan of the franchise ever since I watched the first two back to back in Melbourne.

Darren: Great! You’ll love the 3rd series. It’s a prequel (which is always nice for fans).
cwee: Oh well, catch it in two days, it’s worth the ticket price.
PinkPorkChop: Not as fast as I used to be. The old sixthseal.com would have had the post up by 12:30 am. Old liaw. πŸ˜‰
Come over and say hello next time, it would be great to put faces to bloggers. πŸ™‚
No need paiseh one, I’m very easy going one.
eiling: No worries. Glad to be of service. πŸ˜‰
ShaolinTiger: The second one is unfortunately not as good as the first one. The helicopter scene, too much CGI, etc. I watched it anyway coz I’ve seen the first. It starts very well though.
    breadpitt: Merchant? What merchant?
Lev: Yes, it was. I played Duke Nukem 1 and 2 by Apogee on a 486. I’m old school. Loved Duke Nukem 3D as well, I’m here to kick ass and chew bubble gum…and I’m all out of gum. Haha!
I love the Romero trilogy as well. Ash has got the coolest sayings, which the Duke Nukem developers used a lot.
Harmony: Yeah, it’s definitely worth going to the cinema for, especially if you’re a fan of the series. πŸ™‚
Ediη₯ž: I liked the previous actress better. She’s the one that got me hooked on Underworld. BTW, she makes an appearance (kinda) in this movie. πŸ˜‰
Jen: Hello! It’s great to finally meet up with you. πŸ™‚
Yeah, it’s a good prequel, kinda sad when you know what happens to the protagonists, but a good watch.

chriso: Just for you mate, I tried it, and it works. Just click on “Sign in” instead of manually entering in your name/email/URL and there are heaps of options e.g. MT, TypeKey, OpenID, Vox etc.
    Which one do you use?

    WEEN: Thanks! I’m flattered. πŸ˜‰
Z0E: Yeah, there were a lot of them. Patrolling the aisles and looking for any suspicious activity. I saw one of them gesturing at a girl two rows ahead of me who was replying an SMS.
