I just got back from a weekend getaway in Trisara Luxury Beach Resort, PhuketΒ with Jenn and Michael. It was fantabulously fun! Melaka has changed a lot since the last time I was there (a good 20 odd years ago). It’s now super tourist-y and there’s HEAPS of Singaporeans there. Almost half the cars we saw had Singaporean plates (both regular and “weekend car plates”).
Nevertheless, I enjoyed myself. I remember being there when I was 8, but the details escape me so it was good to take photos and experience Melaka all over again. It’s a UNESCO world heritage site now and a lot of effort has been put into historical sites, which was fun for me. I did the eating expedition thing too, full post up tomorrow coz I’m damn tired and sleep deprived.
Jennifer kindly contributed to the sixthseal.com alcohol cabinet by giving me a bottle of Wyborowa vodka (from Poland).
She also bought some Melaka stuff for you guys (er…not everyone la, that’s impossible with the size of the company – just the team I’m working with) so I’ll be coming to work tomorrow bearing gifts. π
Don’t you just love girls in uniform? π

U mean horse in uniform :-p Hehee π
Wow nice! You guys DID make the trip π Good that Jenn goes to destress π
Btw, you sure you’re not hawt for the horses and not the women in uniform? :p I mean, you are sixthseal you know. It’s like, the Stifflers :p
YilingL: No, I meant GIRLS in uniform. The mounted police is a cop. π
I just kissed the horse coz it has a very huge and soft nose and mouth. π
Nick Chhan: Yup, I was 100% serious about going to Melaka. It was fun, lots of stuff to do there. I was quite surprised actually, since the Melaka I remembered was when I was 8 years old (and in all honesty it was pretty crappy back then). It’s improved a lot though.
Haha! I would have done that to the police, but I doubt she’ll be impressed. In fact, there’s a high probability she’ll haul me to jail, something I don’t want on a vacation. π
Look lke u’re having fun! Haha
Ahhh.. Melaka.. I love Melaka.. Lol..
So did you eat cendol for me? lol…
Dude, you were saying something to the horsey…whatever you said…scare the shit of out of him! (zoomed in picture shows half a horse nut)
I just back from Melaka today!
Too bad can’t find where you and Jenn “hide”
Haha!
Ahhh.. chicken rice balls… never tried one before π
That’s a mighty big shit that horse just dropped π
Hope you went to Hoe Kee for the ayam bola, don’t accept the pale imitations.
Actually there’s a great chicken rice ball just next to your old condo too in Aman Suria π
I notice people in Malacca – as in the locals, they are really laid back. Like as if there’s no stress at all π Shop owners and ppl there are very hospitable too. I love how they are not pushy when they try to sell you things even tho’ they know you’re a tourist!
I can use some chicken rice balls now!
oO i was there for late dinner! didn’t eat any of the famous melaka stuff la.. we were hungry so just got whatever we could
HB I readed you’re planing a trip to Shanghai that great. There online many apts for rent at low cost and near many places. My mom did for Beijing for 6mths. 120.USD a mth. with supermarket, restaurant, hairstylist, dry cleaner, ect. She can’t readed Chinese online have places names people can print out to showed cab drivers never had problem with it.
did u get my text
the horse is dirty! hahaha
That horseback officer in the last pic looks jealous that you managed to win the attention of his female counterpart. π
whats the best pick up line i can use??
melaka nice ler…my hometown π
It’s not so much you scared the shit out of horsey, perhaps your kiss motivated the poor thing to sheepishly let go a ton.
The horse mounted by the male uniformed officer seemed relatively “clean” with no crap in the background. Perhaps jealous π
Wow HB you do really have an “electrifying” personality.
i fucked a horse onece ; )
I bet you enjoyed yourself. Looks like you’ve been travelling around the whole peninsular!
shaoweii: Yeah, it was a fun trip. π
maggot: Alas! I didn’t eat the cendol there. We were busy hitting the historical sites since we were only there for the weekend. π
e: I told him I’ll show him a good time. Apparently the horse wasn’t gay, so he shat himself. π
TianChad: Oh you were at Melaka too? We hit A Farmosa, St Paul’s hill (the major attractions), Jonker St, and that gyro tower that’s the first in Malaysia.
Cheryl: It’s a bit different from plain chicken rice. I like the balls, it fits nicely as a mouthful (maybe I just have a big mouth). π
ShaolinTiger: Heh! I didn’t even notice the horseshit until I was told about it. Clumpy and grassy that.
There’s a chicken rice ball in Aman Suria? What’s the place called? I still go there pretty often coz there’s nothing much to eat at night at my new place.
chefmel: Yeah, true, but the place is also VERY crowded on weekends. Practically every third person or so at the tourist attractions had a dSLR slung around their neck. For our party of 3, everyone was lugging around a dSLR too. π
KY: Yeah, very good stuff indeed. I like the texture of the balls. The chilli sauce is good too. π
suanie: Ah, I was already back in KL then…reached Ampang at 7 or 8 pm and went back home to sleep. π
You’re from Batu Pahat right?
Vickie: Hey, thanks for the tip! π
That is rather cheap for a month. I won’t be going anywhere near that long though, but the info is appreciated. Cheers! π
pm: Nope.
Anthea: It’s not. It smells fine to me. π
I like horses’ noses. The nostrils are HUGE and oh, so soft. π
Trey: LOL! I noticed him giving me the evil eye too. I wonder why he’s glaring at me. π
annant: Oh, it’s your hometown! It’s a nice place, but why is it so hot? Everyone told me Melaka is hot but I didn’t believe it until I went there and experienced it myself. π
Tim: Haha! Perhaps the horse didn’t appreciate me molesting him. I was touching him all over. His lips, his face, and particularly his nostrils. It’s surprisingly soft and tender (and nice to touch). π
pm: Was it good? π
eiling: Yup! I traveled around Peninsula when I was a kid but I haven’t been revisiting the places since then. I figured since I’m working in PJ now I might as well tour around the place since it’s close (compared to Sarawak) and all withing driving distance. π
HELLOOOOOOOOOOOO!
do i get gifts from you and i’m back in the blogosphere!:)
haha.
oh, i wrote a little thank you note on my credits page. HEHEHEHE
Yum.. The chicken rice balls dish attract me more. ;p
HB, I know you aren’t really into this sorta thing anymore, and since a lot of your coworkers read this site you prob don’t wanna advertise this, but could you post more rehab anecdotes? I have been to rehab in the US and I wonder what forced 2 year rehab in Malaysia is like. I understand Malaysia has very tough drug laws. Not as tough as maybe Singapore or Thailand, but still very tough.
Post more rehab anecdotes! If you can’t post them here, post them elsewhere and tell me where to look!
i want the vodka man!
Debra Fong: Heh! Sure, the next time I see you.
Thanks for that! π
Shirley Snow: Next post, chicken rice balls! π
Mike: I will, it’ll go under FINE. π
If you’re interested, follow me on Twitter, not @sixthseal there’s another one called @castitas but you have to email me to tell me what your user name is so I can approve you. It’s protected. π
Jade Zheng: Kenot, I’m drinking it. π
I love horses. They’re just toooo cute. I wanna touch their huge nostrils and soft mouth again. π
I wasn’t at any area that you mentioned ;p
Was in my high school anniversary
Have fun in Melaka!
TianChad: Eh, I’m back dy. Oh, you’re from Melaka, eh? Nice place. π
man look at that pile of manure there ahah
Haha check out the dude eyeing you while you’re kissing the horse..
Darren: Heh! Yeah, the horse felt like letting go of a few clumps over there. π
Aish: LOL! Yeah, I noticed that too. Damn funny. π
aisay..come to malacca never find me ar ;p
Lis: Lisa! You’re still working in Melaka? I haven’t seen you in ages! I lost my phone many times dy, don’t have your number anymore. Going back Sibu next CNY? I’ll be heading back. π
Iβd come to come to terms with you here. Which is not something I typically do! I love reading a post that will make people think. Also, thanks for allowing me to comment!
