Sarawak Club business lunch

sc club

Sarawak Club is one of those exclusive “members only” pretentious
clubs for the people who can afford the expensive membership fees. It’s
been around since the Brooke era (circa 1876) and only members can
invite guests to go into the club.

sc lounge

The place still has its Christmas decorations up…and there’s the
lounge where non-members are supposed wait to be invited in by a
Sarawak Club member.

sc hornbill

Hornbill Restaurant is the place that we went for the business lunch just now.

sc restaurant

The restaurant is decorated in typical Chinese restaurant settings,
with a little opulence thrown in. The restaurant only had two other
tables besides us – a Caucasian couple and a group of three Tai-Tai’s,
you know, typical club member types. 😉

sc table

It seems so prim and proper, right down to the “Sarawak Club”
wrapped chopsticks and all the linen and everything that one is afraid
to sneeze for fear of being impolite.

sc lunch

The food we had probably cost a lot but we didn’t pay for it – it
was a treat from another company. There was seafood soup, wonderful
herbed sweet and sour prawns, this amazing concoction of fresh, cold
tofu sliced like bread and topped with a sweet sauce and diced century
eggs under a bed of lettuce, beef slices with vegetables, loads of
steamed fish and dessert.

Why are the photos taken by my digicam? Why aren’t there more photos?

Coz it seems that taking photos during a serious business lunch is
grossly inappropriate. Heck, I had to tuck in my shirt before I went in
due to the strict dress policy. Pfftttt…

There initially were two or three things which wern’t completely clear, however all around, the post is great — not you need me personally suggesting exactly what you realize, ; ). Anyway, thanks!

  10. I am impressed, I have to say. Very seldom do I see a blog that is both educational and entertaining, and let me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head. Your post is important; the matter is something that not many people are talking intelligently about. I’m very happy that I stumbled across this in my search for something relating to it.

  12. PlayStation Phone – No internal memory? That seems kind of weird since I doubt this thing will use UMD. Also, isn’t the PSP2 coming out next year? Will they make a PSP Phone 2? I’m kind of skeptical on this one. well, i can’t edit…but i wanted to add this. i wont be surprised if sony adds some type of adapter add on to the PS3 (something to support the IR blasters, and maybe a small unit within that add on that has more RAM) so it can support google tv. It would make so much sense for sony to be even more of a presence in the living room, other than what the ps3 can already do. If google tv ends up working out all the kinks, and getting better…i wouldn’t be surprised. On top of that being a selling point (a huge one) over the Wii and similar to the Xbox integration w/ att uverse, you’d be able to get the PSP phone and the ps3 to work all buddy buddy together. the possibilities are endless if you ask me. This would be called product synergy sony…listen to me

  15. There are most issues that you can do to get much more YouTube views. Start out by generating fine videos that you are proud of. As soon as you upload them, make sure to add a catchy title, an entertaining description, and tons of relevant keywords. The last is to industry yourself and watch happily as your views increase.
