Curry Laksa @ Asia Laksa House, Seremban

asia laksa house

I was brought to Asia Laksa House for some Curry Laksa while I was in Seremban. This place seems rather popular with the locals and I was told it has the best curry laksa in Seremban.

restoran asia

Asia Laksa House is the flagship stall of Restoran Asia. The place was packed when we got there with the lunchtime crowd.

You can opt for the dry version which comes with a topping of minced meat (didn’t even know there was such a thing as dry curry laksa)…

…or the regular version with rice vermicelli (that’s bee hoon).

I went for the large curry laksa with noodles mixed with rice vermicelli and optional egg and clams. Now, the best thing about this place is the prime piece of chicken they chuck into your bowl. I ended up with two coz Caydence’s mom gave mine hers.

The chicken is tender and flavorful and I like the clams that goes into the gravy. It’s rich, creamy and goes very well with the noodles. There is also an egg if you go for the works. Curry laksa with chicken and cockles and egg costs RM 4.80 here – a lot less than you’ll be forking out in KL.

The Curry Laksa at Asia Laksa House does brisk business and it’s no surprise for they serve some really good curry laksa. I even finished the thick gravy.

This is Caydence’s sister. Her super tulan face is probably coz I took over her bedroom for the night. Kidding! πŸ˜‰

  4. well, i prefer the boss’s sibling sister who is operating in rahang kecil. same kinda recipe except the gravy is less thick cause she use less santan (coconut milk), taste will be more salty cause less santan, less sweet.
Have you try the hakka noodle/teo chew chicken rice (damn pricy but good)/teo chew porridge (at night)/infamous roast crab (famous mostly because of the dip sauce) …
ahhh, i miss asia laksa at rahang kecil, damn.

  5. HB> flavorful???? I think it’s “flavoursome”
eiling>> it’s not the alcohol on her bed, rather stains on her dress. HB is very naughty.

  6. Eggs almost always complete a dish. Darn, why must God make unhealthy stuffs so tasty and tempting? Maybe he didn’t want us to eat healthy in the first place. πŸ˜‰

  8. I have been craving Curry Laksa the past few days and when I saw this post – it felt like you read my mind.
Adding to the cravings are the very delicious pictures you posted on the curry laksa you had, along with that tiny looking “see hum” on the tablespoon. Still, that got me drooling. Gonna get it for dinner tonight already.
PS. Side note – you shouldn’t place your chopstick in the noodle bowl like that! Bad luck for Chinese, looks like joss stick on the altar!

Anyway, I’m not superstitious and my family is not Buddhist so I don’t know a lot of pantang like that.
See ya tomorrow for Astro B.yond Bloggers Night. Don’t FFK ya, first time we’ll be meeting up since 2003.
Hey, you know what? I bumped into VJ from our ex company for the same event. Expect at least 2 ex coworkers. πŸ˜‰

  10. HB, not sure what is laksa? Is it some kind of curry stew dish that serve with rice or noodle? Look good and will find recipe to make it. Do they serve with Jamine rice or regular type rice?

  11. Erica: Oh you can Google or Wiki it – it’s a famous dish over here, with many varients e.g. Sarawak has one version, there’s a version with coconut milk, another with assam etc.
It’s served with rice vermicilli usually, or noodles. πŸ™‚
