I’ve always been a hopeless romantic at heart and I love stuff like couple T-shirts. Levi’s produces designs every Valentine’s Day and although it may seem a little cheesy to some, I, for one, think highly of couple T-shirts. π
I’m not adverse to PDAs as well, and I love to show my affection to my girlfriend. I was on the plane back last night, hugging and kissing her and one person who was sitting at the same aisle probably noticed us doing that but kept his peace.
Anyway, as we were waiting at the airport, imbued with heng tai (brother) courage (someone was driving him), he rolled down his window and said “Eh, never kissed before izzit?” (in Mandarin) before driving off. This is the local equivalent of “Get a room!” which I’ve never really understood. It doesn’t offend me, I think of them as jealous souls who need to get a girlfriend. π
I’ve always thought of affectionate couples as adorable, and I love seeing them as it reinforces the “hopeless romantic” Aries personality trait of mine.
I don’t know about other people though, how do you feel about it?
couldn’t say more, kissing is good for a relationship… i don’t see it’s that acceptable here in our culture especially chinese. i’d seen a lot during my time in SG. couple just walk and kiss each others, cross a zebra crossing and kiss, shopping, kiss first before deciding want to buy or not. get a room lar! hehe~
hihihi… sixthseal trademark! I seen you doing it before. Hahahah… of course.. not with my dear friend.
hihihi… sixthseal trademark! I seen you doing it before. Hahahah… of course.. not with my dear friend.
hmmm.. well it’s typical in Malaysia, when still dating, holding hands, kissing in public and stuck to each other like glued forever….
but when it comes to the ‘real’ relationship, a.k.a marriage /committed??????
You you..I …I…. your stuff my stuff…. who cares! The man will do their things with friends, while ladies at home after kids and chores, and not forgetting gossiping with next door neigbours.
i’ve seen a lot of people like this nowadays, some people might rise their brows when I’m telling them.. i have been married for 8 wonderful yrs to my college sweetheart and halleluyah we still take bath together (owwwhh behave, baabeeyyy!!), holding hands in public….etc etc; as if we are in our younger days i.e. like 9 years ago… *wink
Yes, it’s nothing wrong with smooching and showing your affection, but don’t do public sex or breasts fondling as it is considered lewd. Hahahahha…
hey, i did that with my previous ex which was.. hmm 2 years ago. Back then, it wasn’t so popular especially in Kuching (not to mention Sibu then). People raised their eye brows, everyone looked … Haha. And yes, im a strong supporter of PDA. because i have always thought if you love someone, affection can be shown anywhere right ? ;P
aLL the best with your girl! Hopefully this is the right one for you! π
Dude, get a room.
I’m glad to see your spirits seem to be up lately. I sure hope it continues.
– David
heh i’m the same as you in that respect… but apparently it doesn’t go down very well in conservative malaysia. and some guys do get uncomfortable about it.
anyway, have been unable to get your studs just yet (but don’t worry will do this weekend) due to various unforeseen circumstances each weekend.
Nothing wrong with PDA. Im one, sometimes. But Kian is very very shy. I shall say it again, VERY shy.
I told him I want to get my car tinted so …. that is how ‘PDA’ person I am. But this spontaneous/kinky thing never happened. nevermind. π
nice couple tee shirts!:)
I lovvvve kissing my hubs, privately or out in public. I don’t care abt what others think.
But I get a little self conscious when I do it back in Msia (my hubby and I are of different races, people tend to stare).
Here, in Italy where I live now, woohoo, you should see how the people here are like. π They aren’t call the most passionate people in the world for nothing. They INDULGE in PDA, and aren’t afraid to display it.
HB, Hope you know this something is going down in your other entry. My sister is one of the blogger having it out with some guy name Vince. There a few Vince on your blog but I not sure and now you are a hit with everyone as that entry with some what a showdown.
My sister is very mad at Vince which is funny. Her ex bf was also name Vince.
HB, The address for Myster Shopper is Shoppers Critique International. Since you live in Malaysia. Hope it will help. Our mom company pay her not her pay them. Top American businesses assignments. Show them your blog they like popular blogs with most hits. Sponcers is really what you need who know see you on TV one day.
Vince should’nt attack other bloggers by using word Schizo it so derogotory everywhere now. In states it ban.
Yo Dude,
I gotta say your other entry is SIZZLING HOT! These bloggers are having it with some DUDE name VINCE. He must some kid that got on playing everyone. But you’re TOP Now.
I never knew how guys shop due to no brothers just sisters. What do they look for? Style, sizes, color but what else? I look for if it machine washable not dry clean just easy care fabric type clothing.
I am all about the PDA – here in MN, no one really cares, unless you are outright having sex in the middle of the mall I suppose. In Malaysia however, when I am walking down the streets in Kuching and holding hands or kissing my husband, I get the evil stares. I don’t know if it is because we are in an inter-racial relationship, or they do not like the PDA…. LOL Maybe because they hate white on asian π
We are after all living in an islamic country where Islam forbids the PDA and thus the mindset of the citizens are shaped in a way that they do not feel comfortable with people kissing and hugging in public. However, the younger generation seemed to think otherwise as we are exposed to cultures from overseas. When I was in London, people kissed everywhere- tube, sidewalk and etc…even for gays. I am sure in years to come, Malaysians would definitely be opened about it too!
such cute shirts! i never had a couple tee..no one bought me and i am also not really into the idea of having one. haha i am a romance-spoiler. and yes, i can tell tht u r very affectionate π
haih jeles =.=
Good 4u dude! We need more PDAs, i sure don’t have a problem with it. Better than to have ppl going around killing & maiming each other! There can’t be enough of a good thing.
Hey Huai Bin π
Almost got to meet up with you once but I told Irene on that day I wanted to get some rest zZz.
O yes we share the same sur name. Could we be distant relatives?
About the ashtray and lover vouchers, do send your inquiries at giftthelessordinary@gmail.com where you’d get info personally from shop owner of Got Gift. Her name’s Yvonne Liew by the way π
Do tell the next time you’re in Kuching again.
Hello Sam! π
Yeah, I remember, was in Kuching to do the Mystery Slurpee and Irene told me you’ll be coming that night too. I can’t remember much of the night and I overslept and nearly missed my ride back to Sibu so I guess it was fun. π
Hmm…distant relatives. You HengHua by any chance?
Thanks for the contact, I love the stuff, will be getting in touch with her. Cheers for that!
See ya next time I’m in Kuching. π
looks like i am the only one not agree on PDA, or rather here in Malaysia. Don’t just blame it on jealousy, respect our culture difference and other peoples’ feeling. Affection no need to be shown to public, just my two cents.
I’ve 2 sets of Levi’s Tees π
janel: Yeah, I read somewhere that a person needs 2 hugs to get through the day, 4 hugs to be healthy and something like 12 hugs to grow. I think it was in a book somewhere.
Heh! Yeah, I do that in KL as well. I do that over here too, get a lot of stares though.
Choonie: You sure? π
Coki: Yeah, I get what you mean. The honeymoon period, eh?
The true test of a relationship…commitment. Hmm, stressed out, sial.
I’m so happy for you, that’s amazing! Married for 8 years and still so affectionate. I wish I can be like that too. Your marriage is the role model of the decade! π
chefmel: Hmm…yeah, it’s not so big in the smaller towns. Getting better though. I have to admit, I caught myself staring once at a same-sex couple holding hands and being affectionate in Sibu. Just thought it was interesting that they were so open about it (one was a transexual).
Thanks Mel! I hope it’s The One too.
David: Thanks mate!
What goes up, must come down. I’m VERY stressed out lately, due to several difficult decisions I have to make. I know that when I get like this, I tend to get unravelled go into a semi-psychotic state and start killing random people on the streets. Kidding.
I just make impulsive decisions without thinking it through. Truth and consequences. Oh well.
Irene: I think it’s more accepted in KL. I was being very affectionate in KL (albeit in shopping malls and touristy areas) and no one gave a second glance.
Thanks for getting the studs for me Irene! Much appreciated.
cynthia: Haha! Well, my car is tinted but doing it inside a car isn’t very comfortable. π
Kian sounds like a very nice person though, you caught a good one there. π
alicia: Yeah, available at top floor of MidValley. π
whimsicaljottings: Heh! That’s nice. I’ve never been to Italy, but I’ve always wanted to go. π
Vickie: Heh! Reminds her of her ex-boyfriend, eh? Not a good thing if the breakup is on bad terms. π
Amy: Thanks, I got your email. Sounds like a very, very fun job to be doing. Cheers! π
nok: Yeah, I saw the comments. Took one hell of a long time to reply all too.
Erica: I just look at the fabric (I like cotton) and the design. If it’s okay, then I just get it. I’m pretty easy going that way.
Skwermy: Heh! I think it’s the latter. π
You just reminded me, I used to be somewhat of a rover, a wonderer. I go places and instantly get settled down. I seem to be somewhat different now, prefering comfort zones. A byproduct of being institutionalized? I wonder.
I need to see a a shrink, I get a little bit off-kilter (in my head) sometimes when I’m in a relationship that’s starting to get serious.
…and I’m about to take a fucking leap of faith (not related to relationship this time, another aspect of my life) too.
Life, eh?
eiling: Yeah, I can see the winds of change already. π
It’s the same for conservative Chinese cultures, they frown upon PDA, they probably think everything affectionate should be relegated to the bedroom. π
Preferably in silence. With the curtains drawn. Lights off. π
xin: Yeah, we wore it that day when we met up for supper at The Gardens. π
I don’t know, I guess I’m always like that. I like affectionate girls too, makes me feel loved. π
Jen: Don’t be. Me love you long time too. π
Daryl Teo: I totally agree. Make love, not war. π
owllow: Hmm…I look at it this way. People should respect our right to display affection too. If they don’t like it, just don’t look. Just like we respect your right to NOT display public affection. I guess it’s all about tolerance. π
ahlost: I love those Levi’s couple tees too. π
where can i get these shirts?!
they’re so cute!
hey.
can i know where can i get this tshirt?
Kim, choco: It’s from Midvalley, just go to the top floor, it’s one of the booths there. π
hi, do you know the name of the brand for the couple t-shirt? or the name of the booth?
thanks
nadia: It’s at MidValley, top floor. π
so nice everything here…
is that Levi’s brand?
topee: Yup, couple tees FTW! π
esther: Nope, it’s a local brand. π

This page appears to recieve a large ammount of visitors. How do you promote it? It gives a nice individual twist on things. I guess having something real or substantial to post about is the most important thing.
