Dig your own hole

dig your own hole df118 rx

I’ve been really sick for the past few days due to The Bird Nesting By My Windows Part III (long time readers will know what I’m talking about) it’s been giving me sinus problems, diarrhea, pains and aches over by body, fever and insomnia (despite my healthy regiment of benzodiazepines). I wake up everyday feeling like shit and the thing is, I don’t know if it’s avian flu (very low probability) or I’m just dope sick (opiate withdrawal – symptoms sound familiar to you? ;))

dig your own hole df118 today

It’s a good thing that I managed to get 60 tablets of DF-118 (dihydrocodeine 30 mg tablets) scripted just now. I kinda messed up my story a little but this doctor knows everything about me, hell, so does the other, they’ve been seeing me for two years, it would take a fool to not see that I have a drug problem (the doctor was not fooled when I accidentally injected methamphetamine into an artery and told him I snagged my wrist on a rusty nail).

dig your own hole df118

(after scripting me the 60 x DF-118)
Doctor #1: *sigh* Huai Bin, you know you have a problem right?
Me: Yeah…I’m trying to sort things out but work is kinda hectic, you know…
Doctor #1: *sigh* Huai Bin, I really hope you can get off of these. It’s not helping you know.
Me: I know doc (actually I don’t ;)) but thanks for scripting me anyway, yeah? I appreciate it.

(after consuming all of his two new DF-118 500 tablet containers he ordered for me)
Doctor #2: Huai Bin, you come here several times a week and I’ve been through your medical records and I’m thinking that you’re not on maintenance anymore but you’re escalating your doses.
(This is the doctor who’s been treating me for years and has given me an infinite supply of maintenance benzodiazepines – Dormicum, Xanax, and Rivotril but is starting to get worried about my opiate use)
Me: You know doctor, work has been very stressful, and the opiates really help me get through the day.
(This doctor has scripted me Oxycontin before and also knows about my drug problems)
Me: I mean, the plan for this is for off-label harm reduction use right? I don’t want to go back to getting alternative non-pharmaceutical opiates (a euphemism for street heroin)
(We don’t actually talk about the fact that I use drugs intravenously – we walk around the issue – but he knows I’m safe about it – no sharing, one needle for each hit etc plus I have an excellent blood work record at his place, no transmissible diseases)
Doctor #2: You’re a really intelligent person, Huai Bin…I just don’t understand how someone like you would get yourself into this. I’ve seen kids coming in trying to get Nospan (Dextromethorphan – DXM a cheap high for the lower income folks) but you’re not like them.
Me: I’m just trying to get through the day, to smooth the edges a little…
Doctor #2: Don’t get me wrong, but I don’t think you have any intention of maintaining the dose – you’re increasing the dose. I know you’re on other opiates and I don’t want you to get involved in alternative non-pharmaceutical opiates in the interests of harm reduction. Don’t go down that road again, Huai Bin. I’ve run out of DF-118 and I cannot prescribe you any more opiates coz I don’t want you to dig a larger hole than you’re already in. I know you can get opiates elsewhere but I want you to think seriously about MRT.
(MRT = Methadone Replacement Therapy, recently initiated and only available in KL and I would have no problems getting into the program coz of my drug arrest and a letter of recommendation from my Case Officer in PDRM Narcotics Department, which I’m still close to)
Me: I can’t get away from work for long periods of time. How long will it take?
Doctor #2: I can write a letter of recommendation for 2 months. I think it would take that long for you to taper off…
Me: I definitely cannot go for rehab (MRT is a self-check in rehab with no restrictions e.g. you don’t have to stay in there for a fixed period but you can check yourself out anytime) for that long. Can you allow me to taper myself off? I’m interested in fentanyl patches (Duragesic patches) – the lowest dose is .25 ucg and you wear the patch for the whole day, much like a nicotine patch. Can you do that for me doctor?
Doctor #2: That is for cancer patients with terminal pain but I can accept a harm reduction taper program. Give me an honest answer…how long do you think you will need to be on it?
Me: Two weeks. It comes in a box of 5 patches so probably 3 boxes of Duragesic.
Doctor #2: Alright, I’ll make an Indent Order for that. But after this, there’s no more opiates alright? Just benzos, I can accept that due to your anxiety issues but no more opiates ok? This will be the last taper course.
Me: Okay doctor, I promise.
Doctor #2: Okay, I’ll get them in for you next week. Take care of yourself Huai Bin, I hope you can get off it by this.

Thus, I have some Duragesic patches coming in next week. Fentanyl, baby! =D

(The patches are injectable too if you get out the fentanyl)

w00t!

Anyway, I’m going on-site for work now. Will reply all the comment later.

Normison soft gel filled capsules

normison capsules

Normison 20 is a preparation by Wyeth which contains the benzodiazepine temazepam in liquid gel filled capsules. This is the infamous 20 mg gel capsules that gained notoriety in Australia amongst heroin users for potentiating the effects of their favorite opiate intravenously. Normison in gel capsules have been taken off the markets due to rampant abuse in certain drug communities via injecting the liquid contained inside the capsule by drawing it out with an insulin syringe.

Naturally, the very idea of injecting gel with the viscosity of syrup (the medical fraternity refers to it as “liquid goo”) sounds off-putting to most opiate users, even the ones slamming black tar heroin. However, “jellies” or “footballs“, as it was known on the streets has ascertained the infamy of having a high second to none when injected with heroin. It was very much sought after both to potentiate heroin and also to replace heroin during the draught of 2000 in Melbourne.

football jellies

I managed to obtain some old stock of Normison 20 (which was kept in a fridge) that still has much (if not all) of it’s bioavailability present and I considered administering it parenterally before deciding against it since I already have one collapsed vein from my methamphetamine use days. Thus, I took it orally and opened up some of the capsules to investigate the gel filled Normison soft caps. The gel (syrup) inside is yellow and slightly bitter-sweet and it tastes rather medicinal – it reminds me of a clinical setting.

Temazepam has been reviewed on sixthseal.com before and I have nothing much to add to it – temazepam is a fast acting, short half life, hypnotic benzodiazepine so that should give experienced benzodiazepine users a note on what to expect. It’s very weak compared to recent benzodiazepine structures, with equivalency charts giving a figure of 20 mg temazepam to 10 mg diazepam.

normison capsules gel

The most interesting aspect of temazepam is the strong hypnotic properties, which is noticeable after a dose of 220 mg. The same dose with Oxycodone 20 mg (insufflated) produced a very nice nod that would probably simulate what the infamous opiate-benzodiazepine cocktail of heroin and Normison gel capsules produced with a different route of administration and with pharmaceutical agents.

Temazepam is very fast acting, with noticeable effects within 30 minutes and an equally short half life (approximately 4 hours) which would coincide with the properties of heroin (also a 4 hour duration substance) which could probably explain the popularity of Normison capsules amongst heroin users (with pharmacies reporting robberies where the robbers demanded ONLY Normison capsules).

However, it just doesn’t hold up with the hypnotic benzodiazepine agents available today such as Dormicum (midazolam) although personally, midazolam has lost its hypnotic properties for me and puts me into a strange wakeful state instead, but that’s another post. Temazepam however, is a very fast acting hypnotic benzodiazepine, which explains its popularity amongst opiate users seeking the perfect nod.

Dicogesic Tablets – Dihydrocodeine Tartrate 30 mg

dicogesic dihydrocodeine

Dicogesic is a generic preparation of dihydrocodeine tartrate 30 mg tablets made by Duopharma in Malaysia. I managed to get a script of 60 tablets of DHC (dihydrocodeine) filled just now and the interesting thing about Dicogesic Tablets is that it’s smaller than DF-118 and it comes in a blister pack.

dicogesic blister pack front

The blister pack of Dicogesic contains 10 small tablets of 30 mg dihydrocodeine tartrate. The tablets are green and it’s much smaller than GSK DF-118 tablets. This is an important distinction as I’ve had Dicogesic in the past and it seems to produce much less constipation than DF-118 (which is notorious for its constipation inducing properties) probably due to the lower chalk content in the Dicogesic tablet.

dicogesic blister pack back

Qualitatively, there is no difference between Dicogesic and DF-118 tablets – both contains 30 mg of DHC in each tablet. Surprisingly, Dicogesic seems to retail for much higher than the original DF-118 tablets, for reasons unknown to me. However, the reduced binders and fillers (especially chalk, which is present in large amounts in DF-118 tablets) makes it a much more palatable alternative to DF-118.

dicogesic front close

This is a close up of the blister pack – Dicogesic Tablets comes in the standard bubble blister pack with the tablets visible through the front.

dicogesic back close

The back of the blister pack lists the contents of the Dicogesic Tablets – Dihydrocodeine Tartrate 30 mg.

dicogesic tablets

Dicogesic tablets are green and has a four leaved clover logo on one side and the letter ‘P’ on the other. The logo looks remarkably like the Sumitomo Pharmaceuticals logo and the blister pack design for dihydrocodeine is unusual since most DHC preparations comes in loose tablets in 500 or 1000 tablet containers.

Dicogesic gets a thumbs up from me, despite being a generic preparation, coz the reduced chalk content does not cause problems that users of DF-118 encounters – prolonged constipation. πŸ˜‰

Erimin photos

erimin box

Erimin is the brand name for nimetazepam manufactured by Sumitomo Pharmaceuticals in Japan. It is a benzodiazepine with hypnotic and anxiolytic properties and can usually be found in 5 mg individual foil wrap packets or strips. It is often called Erimin 5 on the streets. This is the box which Erimin comes from – it has the familiar red color scheme and the Sumitomo logo (looks like a four leaved clover) and each box contains 10 strips of 10 x 5 mg Erimin tablets.

erimin box strip

Erimin is usually encountered on the streets in the form of a 10 pill strip – an aluminum foil with perforations on each tablet, making it very suitable for single pill (Erimin is a small reddish pill) distribution and it is the most commonly used drug in Malaysia. It has recently been put under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 schedule, making it illegal to possess with higher penalties. It used to be under the Poisons Act like most benzodiazepines but rampant use of Erimin (nimetazepam) has caused the rescheduling in Malaysia.

erimin box 8000

Erimin is considered a rare and exotic benzodiazepine in certain countries and is illegal in some countries e.g. Malaysia, but is legally prescribed for anxiety and sleep disorders in Japan. The Sumitomo box containing 100 tablets of 5 mg Erimin is from Japan and it is quite rare for someone to be in possession of a box of Erimin due to legality issues. It is, however, just another benzodiazepine and is usually consumed with alcohol in recreational use circles and as a come down pill for Ecstasy (MDMA) users and also methamphetamine users.

Erimin is quite euphoric in large amounts (around 10 pills – one strip) for benzodiazepine tolerant people (this is not a dosage guide) and is the benzodiazepine of choice for recreation for most people. I would rate the effects of this particular benzodiazepine derivative above Xanax (alprazolam) and on par with Rohypnol (flunitazepam).

Disclaimer: The first photo of the Sumitomo box containing Erimin is not a shot taken in my room in Sibu. The Erimin box picture is for informative purposes only and does not imply in any way that the author possesses large amounts of Erimin 5 mg. I do not possess any nimetazepam (Erimin) and I would suggest that anyone in possession of Erimin maintain the same disclaimer since it has been rescheduled into the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.

An ode to DF118 (Dihydrocodeine 30 mg tablets)

df118 smile

DF118 [sixthseal.com] has got to be one of my favorite easily obtainable prescription opioids. It’s great – in fact, it’s so good that I just had to make a tribute to it. The 30 mg dihydrocodeine tartate (DHC) tablets are arranged to form the words D, F, 1, 1, 8.

There is a happy emoticon at the bottom too – commonly known as a smiley.

DF118 shares a lot of aspects with codeine, except codeine gives a better nod compared to DHC, which has a strange stimulant quality to it. DF118 is twice as strong compared to codeine and it’s great for staving off opiate withdrawals (and getting off as well ;)) and the addition of hypnotic benzodiazepines like Dormicum (midazolam) can produce the much sought after “opiate nod”. πŸ™‚

Excuse me while I enjoy…er, I mean, force myself to consume this horrible medication which I have to take as an abortive migraine remedy. πŸ˜‰

I shall reply all comments tomorrow.

Guess how many 30 mg DF118 tablets this arrangement contains? =D

Duromine 30 mg (Phentermine HCl) capsules

duromine

Duromine is the Asia-Pacific brand name for Phentermine Hydrochloride made by 3M Pharmaceuticals (Australia). It’s from the very same parent company that makes Post-it notes. πŸ™‚ Just as Post-it notes has revolutionized office work – so has Duromine. I take 3 capsules with my morning coffee to jolt me awake. Post-it notes made remembering important work related stuff possible and its partner Duromine provides that vital boost in CNS stimulation to translate that into productivity. πŸ˜‰

Duromine does not contain the instant release formulation of phentermine and is for all intents and purposes similar to Ionamin [sixthseal.com] – as described in the product safety sheet, “Grey and reddish brown hard gelatin capsules with the caption DUROMINE 30 printed in white in the axial direction on each capsule half. Each capsule contains phentermine ion-exchange resin complex that releases phentermine 30 mg.”

Hmm…I can’t seem to shake off this depression…even writing about pharmaceuticals doesn’t cheer me up anymore. *shrugs*

Paralgin Forte – instant relief from your friendly neighborhood pharmacist

paralgin forte mag baggie

Paralgin Forte is a preparation containing 400 mg
of paracetamol (APAP) and 30 mg of codeine per tablet. It’s available
at some pharmacies with the appropriate license to dispense codeine
containing preparations and it’s the most common codeine formulation
around Malaysia. It’s a restricted (quite so, especially in certain
pharmacies) pharmaceutical due to the high codeine content per tablet.

paralgin forte baggies

There is one pharmacy (which doesn’t look dodgy at all, by all outward appearances) who will sell packets of 5 (five) pre-split Paralgin Forte tablets
[sixthseal.com] for RM 3 per packet with an enforced maximum purchase
of two such packets per customer. The pharmacy seems to have targeted a
particular segment of the pharmaceuticals market (namely, people like
me) and pre-package two packets of the Paralgin Forte in a little
magazine insert (ironically, Discovery Travel and Adventure) and sells
it for RM 10.

paralgin forte baggie dose

It’s instant relief for pains real or imaginary, with one hell of an
effect. The packets are sold, no questions asked, at the abovementioned
quota of two packets per customer per visit. I usually take much more
codeine to get off, but without opiate tolerance (or with diminished
opiate tolerance) 300 mg of codeine coupled with benzodiazepines can be
your best friend for about 4 hours. πŸ˜‰

I don’t even bother to do a cold water extraction – I’ve taken 4.4
grams of paracetamol (APAP) routinely without adverse effects and at my
highest (which collaborates with the lowest point of my life) took 8
grams (20 tablets for 600 mg of codeine) without kicking the bucket. It
should be noted that the “ceiling dose” (the dose where you stop
getting anything more from codeine) for codeine is 400 mg – thus, in
hindsight, it wasn’t a very wise thing to do.

Disclaimer: sixthseal.com is not responsible for
massive liver damage and/or end organ failure and death resulting from,
or indirectly caused by, taking massive quantities of paracetamol
(APAP).

The official guide is 4 grams per day, maximum, for a healthy adult,
and not in one sitting (staggered dosing), but what do we care, eh? πŸ˜‰

Diphenoxylate (Dhamotil) experience report

diphenoxylate dhamotil

Diphenoxylate is chemically an opioid and has a structure that
resembles meperidine (Demerol). It is available as an anti-diarrheal
and reportedly does not appreciably cross the blood-brain barrier,
although high doses exhibit codeine-like subjective effects, indicating
opiate activity and possible recreational value. Diphenoxylate is
primarily obtained from diphenoxylate and atropine preparations, which
is used to control diarrhea. This is probably due to the general action
of opiate antagonists in causing constipation and the reportedly low
potential for abuse in diphenoxylate profile. The diphenoxylate was
obtained in the form of Dhamotil, which contains 2.5 mg of
diphenoxylate hydrochloride per tablet and 0.025 mg of atropine
sulphate.

diphenoxylate atropine

I obtained Dhamotil (also known as Lomotil) from the pharmacy I
frequent in Sibu – it supposedly has opiate like subjective effects
from what the pharmacist told me. He noticed a trend between people who
obtained dihydrocodeine, codeine, and buprenorphine (drug seeking users
of the opiate variety) had also bought Dhamotil in large quantities,
presumably for recreational purposes (it sure ain’t for helping them
shit, that’s for sure ;)). I was rather dubious about it, so I didn’t
look up diphenoxylate hydrochloride until I ran out of interesting
pharmaceutical solutions to experiment with and found this in my Box of
Interesting Pharmacuticals.

diphenoxylate tablets

I was pleased with the initial results from looking up
diphenoxylate. It seems that atropine was added to diphenoxylate to
prevent the abuse of diphenoxylate, which can produce opiate like
effects in large doses. The atropine was added in sub-therapeutic doses
just to prevent the consumption of massive doses of diphenoxylate for
recreational purposes. It sounded interesting enough to experiment
with, so I consumed 20 x 2.5 mg tablets (2 blister packs) of
diphenoxylate for a total of 50 mg of diphenoxylate. This was consumed
on an empty stomach and several benzodiazepines (Dormicum and Rivotril)
were also taken on a recreational dose. Cannabis was also concurrently
used in this experiment.

diphenoxylate tablets eat

I did notice a slight to moderate warmth consistent with opiate
antagonists after about an hour and this effect was quite prolonged,
lasting approximately 10 hours. This is what I wrote:

little bit of opiat3e warmth perceived
slightly sleepy too due to atropine or prrevious 3xdorms
little nausea tho cannabis was supposed to counter it
its okay i guess, to add a little bit of opaiat3e warnth to your nighty benzo + weed combo.
makes it feel more sedating…with the coldish but still noticable opiat3e warmth

The sloppy English is mainly due to the cannabis compounded by the
close key proximity of the notebook, but subjectively, there is
something interesting about diphenoxylate. The dosage I took (50 mg)
was several times the daily recommended dose but the atropine did not
have an impact on it. I can see the potential for diphenoxylate for a
cheap and mild codeine substitute and I am interested to try it again
at a higher dose (100 mg – 200 mg range) to get a more substantial
appreciation for diphenoxylate.

Ritalin (methylphenidate) experience report

ritalin

Ritalin is the first line drug used to treat ADHD inflicted
individuals, and in some cases, for narcolepsy. It is the only
satisfactory stimulant compound that is approved for pharmaceutical use
in Malaysia. Ritalin is most well known for being used to treat ADHD in
children and it contains methylphenidate hydrochloride, which is a CNS
stimulant which does not bear a chemical resemblance to amphetamine but
is pharmacologically similar in action.

ritalin blister pack

I managed to get 3 blister packs of 10 x 20 mg Ritalin-SR from
someone who has a legitimate script. Ritalin-SR is methylphenidate
hydrochloride USP sustained-release tablets and it’s the sustained
release version of Ritalin. The time release mechanism can be defeated
by crushing the tablets, but the Ritalin-SR was evaluated over a two
session period – one with the time release intact (oral) and the other
without the time release action (crushed, oral, insufflated).

ritalin ritaline ritalina

Ritalin is manufactured by Novartis, the pharmaceutical giant. The
blister packs I got is interesting – there are variations of the
trademark Ritalin printed at the back of each blister pack. The first
has “Ritalin SR” on it, the second column has “Ritaline SR” written on
it and the third column has “Ritalina SR” printed on it. This is then
cycled back to Ritalin SR on the next column. These are obtained
through legitimate channels (psychiatrist) from a friend who has a
script in Malaysia.

ritalin batch code

Here’s a closer look at the blister pack – there are batch codes,
the manufacturing date and the expiry date printed on one end.
Recreational Ritalin use is not very common in Malaysia due to
sociological factors and the availability of cheaper and stronger CNS
stimulants like methamphetamine here (though the latter is illegal). I
will be benchmarking Ritalin against methamphetamine, since I have a
lot of experience with meth with every route of administration from
smoking to IV injections.

ritalin bubbles

The Ritalin blister packs contain 10 tablets of 20 mg
methylphenidate hydrochloride in sustained release form. The
interesting thing about Ritalin is that unlike amphetamine, the mode of
action in Ritalin is not completely known in man. The bubbles on the
front of the blister pack shows white tablets imprinted with CIBA and
16. The flipping of the tablets seems to be random, with some showing
the front (CIBA) and some the back (16). CIBA 16.

ritalin ciba 16

These are the Ritalin-SR tablets – it’s white, round tablets with
beveled edges and the letting “CIBA” and “16” imprinted on the front
and back in black font respectively. I took 240 mg during my first
session – that’s 12 x Ritalin-SR tablets without defeating the
sustained release mechanism. This was taken orally, and effects could
be felt within 30 minutes, slowly building up to peak at the 45 minute
mark. The 15 minutes between the time the Ritalin can be felt and the
time it peaks is the most euphoric part and it’s somewhat comparable to
oral dexamphetamine (which I used to have a script for in Australia).
It lasted about 8 hours but stopped feeling pleasurable at around the 6
hour mark.

ritalin ciba

The peak isn’t as euphoric as oral dexamphetamine or
methamphetamine, but it’s better than other pharmaceutical solutions
available in Malaysia. Please note that I’m experienced with
methamphetamine and thus can justify a massive dose of 240 mg (12
tablets of 20 mg Ritalin-SR taken on an empty stomach). The safety
profile of Ritalin depends on various individual factors and the amount
I took was many times the recommended dose and can be dangerous. This
is not a dosage guide, but a personal experience report.

ritalin 16

The second session was aimed at breaking the “sustained release”
mechanism. The Ritalin-SR tablets have a white coating and an inner
formulation that looks like crystallized powder. I crushed 3 x 20 mg
Ritalin-SR tablets for insufflating purposes and took the other 15 x 20
mg Ritalin-SR tablets orally. That’s a massive 360 mg of Ritalin
throughout a 1/2 hour period, which in hindsight was not a good idea.

ritalin crush

I wanted to finish the rest of the Ritalin blister packs so I took
15 x 20 mg Ritalin-SR tablets orally (crushed to defeat the sustained
release formulation, making it instant release) and then started to
insufflate the 60 mg of crushed Ritalin (from 3 tablets). I knew it
wasn’t a good idea by the time I finished snorting the powder…my
heartbeat was racing, my chest started to hurt and high intracranial
pressure was experienced.

ritalin tablets crush

…but the rush is rather pleasurable. πŸ˜‰ It did take a bit of a
toll on my body due to my hypertension problems though. I noticed that
flushing is very prominent on high doses of Ritalin, something I did
not experience with other stimulants like methamphetamine but is also
present in prescription amphetamine based compounds like phentermine.

It lasted about 8 hours in total before tapering off during the
second massive 360 mg dose. It has a lot of similar properties to
amphetamine based stimulants in high doses, and is quite euphoric. I
felt like I’ve been worked over by a 300 pound man when it was over,
but it was worth it. The high dose I took made me see Ritalin as a
legitimate stimulant instead of the “weak CNS stimulant” I presumed it
was.

However, like with most prescription amphetamine like compounds I’ve
consumed, it seems to have a much heavier body load compared to
dexamphetamine or methamphetamine. I would not take this over
methamphetamine, but it was nice to experience Ritalin. Just be careful
with the dosage, I’m being lighthearted here, but 360 mg nearly gave me
a heart attack. πŸ˜‰ Take care if you have hypertensive or cardiovascular
problems when experimenting with CNS stimulants.

Phensedyl cough syrup (pholcodine, promethazine, pseudoephedrine) experience report

phensedyl aventis

Phensedyl dry cough linctus is a cough syrup by the pharmaceutical
giant Aventis and it supposed to be the number one cough syrup being
abused in Malaysia, India and parts of Bangladesh. It is reportedly banned in Bangladesh [essentialdrugs.org] due to its high rates of abuse and pharmaceutical diversion into the black market.

phensedyl box contents

However, the cough formulation listed there seems to be different
one from the Phensedyl I got – it seems that Phensedyl used to contain
Promethazine HCl 3.6 mg per 5 ml, Codeine Phosphate 9 mg per 5 ml and
Ephedrine HCl 7.2 mg per 5 ml. The one I got when I went back to Sibu
costs RM 25 for a 90 ml bottle and lists Promethazine HCl 3.6 mg per 5
ml, Pholcodine 5 mg per 5 ml and Pseudoephedrine HCl 20 mg per 5 ml (!).

phensedyl bottle

It seems that they swapped the (relatively) high codeine content in
the previous formulation of PHENSEDYL for pholcodine, which is widely
known in recreational circles as having no recreational value at all,
despite being an opioid (synthetic opiate agonist). This is due to the
inability of pholcodine to be metabolized to morphine
[opioids.com] unlike codeine and its ilk. The promethazine content is
retained, but ephedrine is replaced with a higher content of
pseudoephedrine, at a staggering 20 mg/5 ml.

phensedyl bottle wrap

Phensedyl also contains a small amount of ethanol (that’s just a
fancy name for alcohol ;)), but the content is negligible. I ingested
this in the hopes of evaluating the psychoactive potential of
pholcodine (wanted to see for myself), but alas, the experience was not
in that direction, but it went in a direction that provided a rather
insightful, but unpleasant direction – anticholinergic activity…

Substances ingested:
Pholcodine 90 mg (total)
Pseudoephedrine 360 mg (total)
Promethazine 64.8 mg (total)

phensedyl

Download: PHENSEDYL [sixthseal.com]

I did not feel the pholcodine at all, and I’m convinced that it does
not have any recreational potential, like the medical literature
suggests. The pseudoephedrine manifested itself by keeping me awake and
making my blood pressure skyrocket and giving me constant cranial and
retinal pressure for about 6 hours, but the worse (or most interesting,
depending on how you look at it really ;)) bit was the promethazine. I
drank the whole bottle of PHENSEDYL and that gave me 64.8 mg of
promethazine.

Promethazine is a phenothiazine derivative with antihistaminic,
sedative, antimotion-sickness, antiemetic, and anticholinergic effects.
The last bit is that part you have to watch out for – an
anticholinergic overdose gives you hallucinations. These are not LSD
type hallucinations, and I would not call it a hallucinogen by any
definition of the word. The experience is more like delirium –
anticholinergics are a well known delirient. There are a lot of
substances such as belladonna alkaloids, scopolamine and others which
can cause a anticholinergic activity – the most well known of it being
Dramamine.

Yes, it was like a Dramamine “trip”, but shorter in duration.
Promethazine in that dose was apparently enough to push me into a
delirium for close to 6 hours, with after effects lingering on for an
hour or two after that. I had full blown audio hallucinations and some
realistic visual hallucinations. The problem with an anticholinergic
trip is that you can forget that you’re on something – it feel like
you’re sober, but the world just turned upside down on you. I’m glad I
had sufficient experience with other psychedelic substances to ride out
this one…it wasn’t a pleasant experience, but it was enlightening. πŸ™‚

The audio hallucinations were the most vivid and realistic component
of the anticholinergic trip. I keep on hearing conversations, one of
which was about me by two of my coworkers, and I swear, their voices
were completely realistic, right down to the intonation, and the
“conversation” came from beside me, but when I turned, the voices just
shifted to the other side. I also kept on hearing vivid ringing sounds,
bells, sirens, and most of all, my name being called out by various
parties, some voices of which I recognize, and some I didn’t. I was a
little disconcerting, but I knew I was on the anticholinergic
rollercoaster, so I just…er, held on for the ride. πŸ˜‰

This is what I managed to write during that sleepless and delirious night:

START

the first thing inoticed afte the initial; “high” (if uou can call
it that has passed is that the RGB netting seems to have stck on the
walls so i excused myself.

thats the interesting bit -there s a ehporic lift when the syrup
hits, and that lasts for about 15-30 min before going to delerious
mode, without euphria.

i was having problems with orienttion and motor cordination but i
managed to get into my room and then BAAM the fuckin syrup hit. v.
intense and can be frigthening…except i already know that i’m due for
a delieriant trip, so i just rode it out.

the entire night was filled with full blown auditory hallucinations,
from other people speaking, to people i know talking, and there’s more
= there’s alwas a voice to your side, smetimes calling your name,
sometimes just stating a irrelevant phrase or calling another person.
but the entities are so close to me that i always think they’re talking
to me.

confusion
extremally dry mouth
auditory hallucinations, can hear various people conversing natually (ny coworkers
sounds are frightenig

severe disorientation, hard to appear sober

i looked into a mirror and saw a parellel universe. it was
amazing,it looks REAL, so real that the mirror is forgotten. i saw
myself too, and he was smiling at me. i knew it was me, but he still
managed to startle me.

ringing sounds are always on (eng eng eng eng eng sounds) but when other audio sources are obtained the ringing goes away

I HAD a severe case of cotton mouth (dry mouth) too. it’s appaling, no fluids can quench the thirst.

posters can appear to be 3d and deeper meanings are reveaked, i just saw it on this old one i put up when i was 13.

strong deleriant effects, i had full blown real hallucinations twice
during the trip, and the field of view is always wierd, like something
is wrong here. Auditory hallucinations are so strong (fucking
impressive) that i heard a 3 way conversation with some of the people
in the office. their sounds are reproduced perfectly too. CEV;s are
also present, very good ones too.l but the auditory hallucinations
impressed me the most.

this is an accidental use of a anti-choinegic substace – i was after
the pholcodine, but i got an anti=chlogenic insteaed. but i appreciate
the unintentional ride though. πŸ˜‰

not for inexperienced users or those who can’t handle substances.
since youre in for long ride, you need to be able to tell yoursef tht
you’re okay anything strange is just hllucination not for the weak of
mind. it’ll blow your socks off.

The most interesting experience about the anticholinergic delirium
was the bit where I looked into the mirror and saw another parallel
universe and another person looking back at me. I didn’t realize that
it was me at first. I smiled at him, and he smiled back. I tried to
touch the face, and it almost appeared as if I was going to
go through the mirror before I started and realized that it was just
me…before forgetting it was me, and then remembering it was just me
again.

That’s the interesting bit about anticholinergic delirients – it’s
like a fever dream, it feels so realistic, you can forget you’re
delirious, and the audio hallucinations are so vivid, with bouts of
complete delirium with accompanying visuals which you can forget are
visuals. It can be very disconcerting, and most people would call this
a bad trip. I would like to try this again, in higher doses (but
without the pseudoephedrine) to see what complete delirium feels like.
