Anything. Whatever.

anything whatever

Anything and Whatever is one of the most novel concepts in the beverage industry I’ve seen to date. I’ve been hankering to get my hands on the drinks from Singapore, which was recently launched in Malaysia as well, and finally got the stuff today.

poslaju

I’m supposed to say that it was sent to me from Singapore by the person who sent it. It’s not available over here in the remote jungles of Sarawak yet so my friend sent it in a package to me. She wanted me to be the first in Sibu to try it and surprised me with the package.

alatulis

Unfortunately, she declared it as “alatulis” (stationary) so it got caught up in Customs. I’m sure they were wondering what kind of stationary weighs 0.797 kg and makes a clanking sound when you shake the package with a liquid sloshing echo. πŸ˜‰

anything whatever box

Naturally, astute readers would comment on the fact that Singapore doesn’t have PosLaju (which a next-day courier service run by the Malaysian government). This begs the question on where it was actually sent from and by whom – both good questions…to which I have no good answer. πŸ˜‰

anything

Anything is a carbonated drink which can contain anything from Cola, Cola with Lemon, Apple, Fizz Up, Cloudy Lemon, to Root Beer. You don’t know what you’re getting until you open up the can. Fascinating concept, eh?

whatever

Whatever is the non-carbonated cousin to Anything and contains a surprise flavor that ranges from Ice Lemon Peach, Peach Tea, Jasmine White Tea, Apple Tea, and Chrysanthemum Tea. The can is not labeled (except with a huge question mark) and you don’t know what you’re getting until you open it. Fun!

anything me

I got the Fizz Up for the Anything can. It tastes like 7Up and is a fair emulation of the latter. It tastes alright, but the fun with Anything is that it could be…well, anything!

whatever me

Whatever dealt me with the Peach Tea. This tastes like the Lipton Peach Tea. Nice! I just adore the concept of not knowing what you’re gonna get until you open up the can.

It’s just perfect for people like me who loves surprises. Thanks D! πŸ™‚

  5. I saw this in Spore during my trip there a year ago in their 7-11. I tot it looks like some crappy drink so i didn’t bother to try it out. Now, after reading so many ads about it, i somehow regretted.

  6. Giant Sotong: I would be very wary about that. Imaging hankering for a beef burger and getting a fish burger instead. πŸ™‚
xes: Haha! Thanks, buddy. I got a very Anything post too but it came out blurry so I didn’t use it. πŸ™‚
sharon: Thanks! If only you were in Sibu instead of Melbourne. πŸ˜‰
I don’t actually use any skincare products. I wash my face with body shampoo (honestly!). I do have some SK II eye cream but I’m too lazy to use it. That’s my main problem – wrinkles under the eyes. πŸ™‚
Hmm…stalkers eh…I don’t really mind if it’s you doing the stalking. I would leave my gate and door open. πŸ˜‰
Curious George: You can’t. I checked and they list the ingredients for ALL the possible choices. There’s no way to know what it would contain without opening it first. πŸ™‚
    wilson: Thanks buddy. πŸ˜‰
goolooloo: What? Where got? D can stand for anything. Declaration. Denise. Duck. :p
Anyway, thanks for your help on the biscuit stuff. Get to know a tau keh nio really can do things easier. Appreciate it! πŸ™‚
Brian: Haha! I haven’t had that heppen to me yet. But it WOULD be really funny eh? πŸ™‚
Anything contains 325 ml of liquid while Whatever contains 300 ml. I imagine the additional 25 is for the effervecense.
skittles: Yeah, it’s an awesome marketing concept. I love it! πŸ™‚
DieHardX: Thank you my friend! That’s an EXCELLANT answer. I’m going to use that as the official sixthseal.com answer. πŸ™‚
Yeah, you can’t guess. They list ALL the possible ingredients of the different flavors at the back.
essentric: Honestly, I don’t use anything. I use shampoo and body shampoo. That’s about it. I used to use soap, but not anymore. Shower creme has replaced that.
Never had problems with pimples or acne even during my adolescense. My skin is very dry and peels very quickly. Oh, I use lip balm due to the airconditioning and hand lotion coz my knuckle’s skin cracks easily in dry environments. That’s about it.
I don’t want to come across as presumptious but I think it’s genetics. My mom is past retirement age and she can pass for a 40 year old! I hope I can be like that too. πŸ™‚
    willchua: Whatever. πŸ˜‰
suituapui: Haha! You knew me since I was a kid and I’ve always been like that. I have my mom’s complexion which is a blessing, since she looks younger than her actual age too.
I drink regular drinks too lar. πŸ˜‰ It’s impossible for me not to, alcohol dehydrates.
    Love your wit, btw. πŸ™‚
nkwai: They have a TVC showing something like that at a 7-11 store. Ah Beng types walking in and asking for Anything. It’s really funny, check it out.
xin: Yeah, it would have been nice to get it when it was launched in Singapore. I would have loved to be the one who came up with the idea and sell the concept across the world. Very catchy name, and great marketing.
Superboy: Hello there! It’s good to have you back. πŸ™‚
    willchua: See ya there!
bongkersz: Yeah, I wish I was the one who thought about it and managed to market the drink. I probably would have been financially better off than my current situation. πŸ™‚

  7. Hmm, maybe they changed the packaging? My can of Whatever (yes, I kept it) bought last year when it came out in SG states “Extract of Chrysanthemum” on the ingredients list.
