Jesus French Connection United Kingdom Christ

477

I went to pay my cell phone bill during lunch break just now and was presented with a rather impressive amount of RM 477.90. Jesus H. Christ. I remember my highest phone bill being about RM 2,000+ (converted from Australian dollars) back when I was in Melbourne but that was coz I was in a long distance relationship.

Oh, and I also defaulted on that payment. πŸ˜‰

digi bill

I’m surprised at how I can run up a RM 477.90 bill with my current usage and I think it boils down to the way I handle calls. I tend to call instead of texting someone due to the easier communication pathway. I’m also on a plan that favors same operator calls (DiGi 1Plan, which makes it free to call 016 numbers once the amount is past RM 123) but most of the calls I make are not within the same network.

I use my personal cell phone to make official work related calls as well, which is probably not a good idea and something I shouldn’t do doing anymore (since I don’t get reimbursed for it). I have to curb my spending habits and it should start with my cell phone usage.

/me tightens belt.

Hmm…come to think of it, I need a new belt. My two belts are both a little on the loose side, which I’ll like to think of as an indicator that I have lost weight. πŸ˜‰

  2. Sounds like you need to change your phone plan too HB. I reckon most of the calls you make are to 012 numbers? But then again, its Sibu, I wouldnt know what the reception there is like. You should study it a little before switching.

  3. Well if it for business it OK but just for non important matter is waste of money. Cell phone bill can be costly. Not sure who you called but must manage your time on it. Email or text on computer with webcam is way I go to save money. Kids are the worst to have cell phones when they use it talk with their friends. Hey they see them in school every day anyway. Parents must teach them for important use also.

  6. annant: Oh, my cell phone number is available for everyone to see in sixthseal.com – I don’t make a point to hide that. A lot of my personal information is available on the blog anyway. πŸ™‚
butterscotch: No, I drink much more water than I spend. πŸ˜‰
    anon: No comment. πŸ™‚
leeann: Yeah, I replied. Cheers! πŸ™‚
    Jeff: Single month. πŸ™
suituapui: Yalor. I should be on a better package. There’s one that costs RM 250 per month flat rate and you can call interoperators and local calls after that amount. I should be on that…but then again, I don’t use that much every month.
Edward: USD900 is a lot to be forking out for a cell phone bill! Yeah, texting is the way to go, it’s much cheaper than calls.
Wuching: I can’t, no one would be able to reach me.
whimsicaljottings: Hmm…how do you know most of my numbers are to 012 numbers? It’s true, there’s not a lot of 019 numbers on my list, but a lot of 012 numbers. The reception is fine for Celcom, I just prefer Digi. πŸ™‚
Aaron: Well, are relationships considered business? πŸ˜‰
It’s kinda stupid, the way I use cell phones but I can’t really explain it. Theoretically, it would be more logical to meet up and all that right? Complicated la. I guess this year is not my year. Oh well.
Darren: Yeah, I calculated the amount of phone cards (for long distance calls) and cell phone bills during the LDR with that girl (the one tattood on my hand) and the amount scares me. I could buy a car with that amount. Fucking hell. It’s a good thing I had a little side income while in uni.
janel: Yeah, my line is post paid. My very first line was prepaid and it was a great number – 016 869 0110. It’s easy to remember, and I tried to keep it going by reloading every 3 months from Australia but I forgot one year and lost that number. πŸ™
velverse: Yeah, I find it harder to keep tabs on my cell phone usage when I’m using post prepaid too which is why I switched to post paid. Also, it’s a bit of a hassle to reload the phone. πŸ™‚
KY: I’m working in Sibu la. That means I’m getting peanuts for a salary. πŸ˜‰
essentric: Hmm…I’m a little lost about the 1 season out of 4 reference. You smoking anything I want? πŸ˜‰
kongkay: I am also lost here. What does guan qin actually mean?
Tom: Yeah, there are free texting services on the net. Unfortunately, I’m out most of the time and I don’t surf the net for non-work related stuff at work. *cough*
