Hola! Good day from down under! I’m still in Australia touring NSW and Queensland! I’ve been around quite a bit, going to go skydiving and visit the outback. Rural Aussie FTW!
Anyway, I’m here with Cheesie (eating the famous Flutterby cake). It’s a renowned pastry made with cream and homemade jam. Divine.
I’ve also had the chance to eat the Moreton Bay Bug (a kind of crayfish) here. That’s Alycia in the photo.
It’s been a great vacation so far! I’ll update again when I get back. Cheers!

When did u come to Australia? How long u will be here?
Hello! I have been here for 4 days. I’ll be here for 5 days, flying back tomorrow. π
no melbourne?
Unfortunately not, this was a trip to the Northern Rivers area. It’s a lot of fun though. I just went skydiving and kayaking today. π
alycia studied in sibu!
Yeah, I was surprised to hear that too. She has studied in a lot of places. You know her too? She’s with The Star. π
Hey how did you know? Do I know you CY?
Hello CY! That’s the real Alycia there. Are you from Sibu too? π
Wow. Write about your sky diving! I want to do it but I am scared. ><
Yup, coming up soon! Just waiting for some videos. Heh. It’s not my first time doing it but there were a lot of first timers skydiving with me that day, it’s always good to see people do it and being adventurous despite being scared. π
Personally, I am a bit of an adrenaline junkie so it’s rather normal for me to be doing stuff like this and not feel the slightest bit of fear but on this trip, I realized that it’s the people who ARE really scared who get the most out of it. It’s their personal acheivement, and a revelation to me. I wish I was scared so I can get more out of it. π
Hmm…I’m planning for my next jump to be a stunt but I have to find someone willing to do it – I’ll jump out of the plane without a chute and someone jumps out after me with one, catches up and does a tandem rig in 200 km/h speeds midair before I splatter all over the drop zone. π
It shall be…A LEAP OF FAITH! π
No way dude, bug is not crayfish, not even close except they come from the sea. so hgow many local shielas did you shag? that’s kinda the local culture.
Well, it’s technically a lobster but I’ve always called it a crayfish…most of the people I know just call it a type of crayfish but yeah, the scientific classification is a slipper lobster.
I’m still going to call it crayfish though. π
Heh! No shagging was done bro. This is a media trip courtesy of AirAsia X and Tourism New South Wales.
Have fun! Ah well…obviously, you already are! LOL!!!
Thanks Arthur! π
Yup, had a lot of fun in Northern Rivers and Byron Bay and the surrounding areas. It’s quite a different experience from the usual well trodden paths of Gold Coast.
It’s awesome! π
