I know, the title sounds like it’s straight out of βSpambots for Dummiesβ. Haha! I couldn’t think of a better description though. I’ve been going through my fireworks videos recently β uploading, tagging and sorting them so I’ll actually get my annual fireworks and firecrackers roundup done in time this year when I saw this gem.
It happened a couple of nights ago when we strung up 3 strings of long firecrackers and set them off *at once*. Of course, by ‘we’ I meant the spryer young men.
One long 39,0000 firecracker string was pulled up alongside 2 x 3,000 firecracker strings and all of them were lit at once with a sparkler. It’s something we’ve done more recently since it puts up quite a nice show.
However, this time the guy who went to light the fuse did so rather slowly and was jumping around while trying to avoid the firecrackers, which were popping all around him, yet *determined* to finish his mission of lighting every string before he ran away.
I hope that makes your Monday morning as much as it did mine! π
Wow! Bang! I had never seen such a long string of 39,000 crackers! That would be fun!
I live in an idiot residential area where they have a community facebook and I heard complains daily from the residents about fireworks at night even at 9.00pm. WTF!!
It’s quite common over here! π
I have a video on how it goes in the daytime: π

Hmm…that sounds really harsh mate…most residential areas will tolerate such things e.g. if I were living in one, I would tolerate fireworks during Hari Raya, Deepavali, Christmas etc coz I’ll be letting them off on CNY.
That was you! Can’t say I know the locality though. Maybe your handsome cousin’s house? That looks like him in the 3rd pic.
Ish! You should be able to recognize me properly since we’ve known each other for decades! π
That’s not me buddy. The two guys are Eddy’s nephews, both of them were tasked with stringing up the firecrackers and lighting it up coz they know where all the hooks are (there are nails driven into the electricity pole). I wanted to take a video, so I passed up on lighting the strings of firecrackers.
It’s recorded in front of his house – we also did a fireworks cakes (3 x 50 shots and 1 x 112 shots) and 2 fountains fireworks display and I did light that one coz it needed at least 4 people to do it at the same time for it to go off at the same time.
The guy in the video was just hamming it up, he was trying to be funny by jumping up and down, he wasn’t hurt of course. π
Lol …. that seems a hard core fan of fireworks ! Haha… He even kena from behind.
Haha! He was just trying to be funny! π
I don’t think he particularly likes lighting firecrackers or fireworks, he seems neutral as opposed to me, who’s very enthusiastic. I would love to do it but I wanted to film it so I couldn’t…although I did the next fireworks show and then an awesome pyrotechnics device which is hard to get.
LOL….I would cabut lari faraway
Haha! It’s fun though! π
I usually would stay in the area to feel and smell the firecrackers going off. Just one possible injury can happen if you’re real close e.g. 1 meter or less from it – eye injuries.
Thus, if you wear glasses you’re safe but I don’t and I’ve been lucky so far – not that it’ll blind you, but if it goes off right in front of your eye, blood vessels would burst and you’ll definitely be hurting for a while, especially with the 39k firecrackers.
I never gave that much care even though I have firecrackers exploding past me and shirts getting torn by firecrackers that hit me (it’s not the explosion, it’s the flame that burns and results in a tear-like condition) but nowadays I’m more careful since I have things to take care of. π
wahhh this firecracker is super looooong! i will normally stand behind my daddy/bro/boyfie when it’s lit up XD
The 3,000 firecrackers ones are standard size! π
The 39,999 firecracker string is the longer one and has 2-stacks and 3-braids at some parts. It’s sold is a large round wheel like a shield, I have gotten some last year too. It’s very popular in my hometown.
There’s an even longer one that costs close to RM 2,000, is 3 x the height of a 2-storey bungalow and needs a crane to pull it up to be lit! Now that’s an amazing string but it’s just to expensive (plus you need to hire a crane coz no pole can go up that high).
