I have got to be the unluckiest person around. I was at Sunway Lagoon with my ex-boss from Sibu and his friends yesterday and dropped my digicam at the very last roller coaster ride. I think they have signs against loose items for a reason. I miss all the wonderful photos and videos (especially the AJ Hackett G-Force X one – it looks better taken from the outside, though I have the DVD which I will upload soon) that’s lost – two days worth.
I miss The Apartment set of photos and the G-Force X video the most. Oh well, at least I have a temperamental Sony T-70 as a backup while I go hunting for a dSLR later. You can’t very well lose a dSLR, it being the size that it is.
I lost/dropped four (4) digicams in less than a year. That’s not good. Okay, I’m officially pokkai this month.
Ironically, I lost the digicam at the Lost City roller coaster ride. Hmm…
hmmm lost again. this is the second time i read you lost your digicam. next time tie it around your neck.
I suggest you get another digicam. dslr is bulky and cumbersome and it attracts too much attention at times.
On the other hand, since I got the dslr, I have lost interest in the digicam.
Hang in there, buddy through this momentary crisis in yr life. About the negative comments, try to take it with a pinch of salt. Like you said, some of them don’t know you at all.

Dude, don’t waste your money on DSLR. You are blogger not a photographer. Compact digicam comes in handy for blogging…DSLR.. for blogger is just a show off item. Lets put it this way, I have parked my D70S since I bought a Canon SD1000. Now I only take the DSLR for serious photo shooting session.
BTW, I bought you a 750 ml bottle of Absolute New Orleans yesterday as a special gift, let me know if you have friend coming this way, I’ll send the bottle to KL with him/her.
dSLR is good, i disagree with e. Plus, a dSLR is so big it’s not as easy to lose. 😀

I am now the proud owner of a Sony alpha 350 dSLR camera. It comes with two lenses and an additional battery, a bag, 4GB CF card and misc items, cost me about RM 3,800.
It’s official. I’m broke this month.

good choice on the sony alpha, but their lenses are helluva freakin expensive. or at least the ones i want if i do get the alpha 350, haha. personally for me, it’s still a throw up between the alpha 350, canon 450d or a nikon d60. swinging more towards the d60 at the moment because it’s the reasonably cheaper of the 3 i listed.

Sorry for the loss of you camera, HB. I really enjoy the pictures. But that is not what keeps me checking your website every few days. It is your writting ability. Any person can use a camera, ( or cell phone cam) but you could do a good job without it, and I bet many would read your stuff. Not to many can say that. You paint pictures with your words. Sorry for your loss. ( My worst ever time was when I crunched my nice Fuji 35mm and lens( about $400) under a power seat in a rental car). The rest of the trip, I used little Fuji and Kodak 35 and even 110 “throw away ” cams, scanned them into my pc and they were the best pics I have of that time. Hope You and your family are well.
