The Star, free chicken and my FMIL

star interview

I was interviewed in The Star on Monday. It’s in News on page S10 in the Sarawak Edition done by Calvin Yeo. You can also view the entire interview in the link. Cheers mate! πŸ™‚

Anyway, some updates about today:

Free chicken!!!

free chicken

We just got back from grocery shopping at TCM. She wanted to eat the oyster mee sua at Shihlin. I ordered two bowls and two bottles of mineral water. The person asked if I ordered chicken. I didn’t and told him so.

Nevertheless, he asked me *again* while we were eating and finally put two pieces of takeaway chicken on my table. I was rather puzzled by this since I already have home cooked food from her but well, since they were so insisting… πŸ˜‰

It sounds remarkably like something rude but the acronym stands for β€œfuture mother-in-law”. I hadn’t dared hope to use that moniker but since she called it, I’m happy. πŸ™‚

tiffin dinner

The soup is from the FMIL. The rice with home made fish cake in the tiffin is done by her and she also baked her trademark lemon cupcakes (hesitate to call them muffins coz a muffin means something entirely different to me smirk).

I jokingly told her that the previous rice box she packed me had a kid-sized portion of rice and she gave me a lot this time. Haha.

I love the lemony cupcakes dear! There’s no spoon this time around though. T_T

  1. Kid-size! Humph!!! Never look at a gift horse in its mouth. Spank! Spank! LOL!!! Aiyor…you should say it was so very nice that it left you wanting more and more… Must sweet-talk a bit lah!!! LOL!!!

Calvin was my student before. Ummmm…I think I take much nicer photos of you, you reckon? You looked like you just woke up. Hehehehehe!!!!

    Oooo…free chicken? So nice!

    • That was what I was about to write too! Haha! Not looking a gift horse in the mouth and all that. πŸ˜‰

No worries, what I wrote was the “testosterone” version (which is not the same as artistic licence, I just *neglected* to mention certain things – like me holding her bag last night, something I don’t usually do).

I did just wake up! Heh.

    • Haha! Always! πŸ™‚

At least for me. I always look fatter in photos.

Yeah, we’re happy together! I went grocery shopping last night, just walking through the aisles (*premonition*) and I felt happy just hugging her and looking at items from the shelf (only bought Nutella, Special K cereal bars, bread and cigarettes but we were there quite long looking at other stuff on display).

I just enjoy her company. πŸ˜€

      Thanks Constance!

      Yup, gotta love them! πŸ™‚

I just spent an awesome day with her. I’m playing Teenage Dirtbag on repeat right now coz the song is stuck in my head, thus the post title and ending. πŸ˜€

  3. hahahahah I know why you don’t want to you the word Muffin!

Check out what I found on Urban Dictionary?

A girls vagina – Many different kinds like blueberry (shaved), buttered (with cum), and many more.
Hey baby, can I butter your muffin?

One of the greatest words on the planet. This word can be used for anythin (see example)
    Insult: “You Stupid muffin”
    Compliment: “Hey, Nice muffins”
Self Respect: “I am the muffin king”
Insult Yourself: “I am the worlds biggest muffin”

a delicious and fluffy treat that comes in many flavours
    dutch chocolate muffin

Well, some would say it’s a bit…graphic, especially my previous posts. I’m not ashamed of my past though and I’m glad my girlfriend isn’t either!

  4. Heh, HB – I’m liking the happy happy updates in your blog as of late. πŸ™‚ So happy for you that you found her (photos soon? :P) and as usual wishing you all the best.

Great interview as well, enjoyed reading it. Didn’t realised that you’re one of the most veteran bloggers around!

    • Hello Jyannis! πŸ™‚

It’s happy updates *all the way*. I’m really lucky to have her and I know that.

Photos soon, she’s okay with me using part of her name dy. We have decided that people would find out sooner or later anyway, so we won’t hide but we won’t intentionally reveal it either. It’ll go it’s natural course.

Yeah, I’ve been blogging for ages.

      <- Dinosaur πŸ˜‰

    • Thanks Eunice! πŸ™‚

Yeah, she’s wonderful. It’s not everyday, but we might be getting there. Haha!

We eat out sometimes too, yesterday had roti canai in the morning with her before work, then lunch is snowflake then dinner is pan mee.

She’s a great person. I’m lucky to have her!
