I went to the pharmacy when I was back in Sibu last week and asked
my friend for something new to try. I’ve always been curious about the
cough syrup that the locals in Malaysia abuse, since it’s not pure
codeine based syrup, but also contain other potentially CNS active
ingredients such as antihistamines in possible large doses and
pseudoephedrine. I was wondering what kind of “high” they get off from
this.

Thus, I went up to my friend (who owns the pharmacy) and told him I
wanted “the cough syrup that locals abuse”. He’s familiar with it,
obviously, since he’s sold quite a bit of it to various characters of
generally dodgy disposition. He immediately pulled me over to one side
of a cabinet which has cough preparations of various colors.

“This is the one you want,” he said, while pulling out red colored
syrup in pharmacy filled cough syrup plastic bottles. It’s the one that
the locals who want a cheap high get, I was told. I asked him what it
contains, and he said it just contains codeine, a small amount of
antihistamines and some pseudoephedrine. It goes for RM 1 per bottle
and I’m told that most users drink 1-2 bottles to get “high”.

Right then, I said. I’ll drink 3.

…and so I did.

I felt a mild sedation consistent with codeine after ingesting 3
bottles of the generic cough syrup on an empty stomach. I also felt the
pseudoephedrine, but that was also mild. My estimate on the contents
would be about 20 mg of codeine and maybe 35 mg or so of
pseudoephedrine per bottle. I did not felt the antihistamines, nor did
I feel any high dose anticholinergic side effects, so I postulate that
the antihistamine content is too low for any significant impact on this
cough syrup formulation.

It wasn’t much fun, IMHO. It feels like a low dose of codeine, a
very slight, hardly noticeable opiate warmth with a concurrent slight
CNS stimulation due to the pseudoephedrine content. It’s a cheap and
dirty high. I would not take it again since there are more elegant
pharmaceutical solutions out there.

Xanax by Pharmacia & Upjohn

This is a box of 100 x 0.5 mg tablets of Xanax (alprazolam) made by
the original pharmaceutical company. It contains 10 blister packs of 10
x 0.5 mg alprazolam each.

The side of the box states that Xanax should be dispensed only by or
on the prescription of a physician. What? And tie down all the medical
resources? What happened to good ol’ Do-It-Yourself self-medication? We
don’t need no damn doctors back in the days, we just got the box and
took them Xanaxes as needed. 😉

Scandonest 2% special for injection (mepivacaine and adrenaline solution)

Scandonest 2% special contains Mepivacaine hydrochloride (a local
anesthetic) and adrenaline. This solution is normally used for dental
procedures, and I managed to get a vial of Scandonest 2% containing 44
mg of mepivacaine hydrochloride and 22 ug of adrenaline.

The solution came in a glass vial and I used a .29 gauge Terumo
syringe to self-administer the mepivacaine + adrenaline solution into
my left upper arm. I read that the solution should not be taken via the
IV route so I just injected it into muscle.

The vial that I managed to get hold of contained about half of the
Scandonest 2% solution and I injected the whole solution available.
This are the notes that I wrote down regarding this:

it’s fun to roll circles around the injection spot (the place where
the fluid builds up) to “feel” the numbness and there is a slight
adrenaline rush, so that’s something extra. it’s mild though, but the
topical anestetic features makes this novel.

i wouldn’t call it recreational, but it’s interesting to make a spot
on your body numb. run your fingers over it, and “feel the numbness”.
heh. ok i’m a retard. the adrenaline passes very fast, but its mild
anyway, so thats not the main feature. the main feature is the CREEPING
NUMBNESS

p/s – an interesting new development i felt at T+ 0:30 is that the
anethestic part SPREAD to my wrist (!!!). so the whole area from the
injection site to my wrist is numb but not upwards. very strange and
fucking NOVEL. now part of my arm is numb. very, very interestin
substance. i can rub my lower arm and “feel the numbness”.

say it with me people. 😉

Buprenorphine (Temgesic) experience report

Buprenorphine is available in Malaysia in the form of Temgesic Sublingual 0.2 mg
tablets (without the opiate antagonist naloxone). This makes it
recreational for people with low or no opiate tolerance. I’ve had
experience in the opiate family, more notably with DHC, methadone and
heroin so I’ll be basing the report against the three other opiates
that I’m familiar with.

Temgesic sublingual 200 ug buprenorphine tablets is manufactured by
Reckitt & Colman and I’ve taken it through the sublingual route (as
it’s meant to be taken, nullifying the liver first pass effect) and
insufflated. I noticed that using the sublingual route makes it
unpredictable, since it’s hard to keep the tablets in place. Preparing
the buprenorphine (commonly known as “bupe”) for insufflation allows
for a more reliable delivery mechanism. Buprenorphine is water soluble
so intranasal delivery is a viable method.

…and the “cross” Reckitt & Colman logo at the back of the
tablet. Buprenorphine is used for treatment of heroin (and sometimes
cocaine) dependant individuals, just like methadone. The difference
between bupe and methadone is the latter is a full opiate agonist (just
like heroin) while bupe is a partial opiate agonist. This makes a huge
difference in terms of recreational value – I would put buprenorphine
after DHC (dihydrocodeine) but before methadone and heroin in terms of
recreational potential.

Preparing the Temgesic Sublingual 0.2 mg buprenorphine tablets for
insufflation requires a piece of paper and a knife (spoons can also be
used, but knives are easier to work with due to its versatility). The
amount of buprenorphine for the session is calculated and the tablets
spread out at the crease mark on a piece of folded paper. I usually
insufflate (snort) 1.4 mg of bupe, so that’s 7 x 0.2 mg tablets. I
noticed that this is good starting dose, if no opiate agonists have
been taken within the same week.

I use a hard flat surface to crush the tablets – the folded “wings”
of a balisong is useful for this purpose. Delicacy is necessary to
avoid tearing the paper – I use alternating downwards and sideway
pressure to methodologically crush the tablets into powder form.

This is what the outside of the paper should look like after the
tablets have been crushed. The pockmarks are where the tablets used to
be before it’s crushed into power. It’s important to note that due
diligence should be exercised during this process to avoid spillage
through the sides of the paper, which can happen if too many tablets
are being crushed at one time.

Here’s a look at the crushed bupe tablets – the folded pieces of
paper allows the powder to remain in one place. You’ll notice that the
powder is still quite grainy, and thus, not so conducive to
insufflation, so further refinement of the powder is necessary.

This is where I use the back of the knife (the edge that’s not
sharp) to run sideways against the folded piece of paper while applying
pressure…

…and here are the resulting marks on the paper after the process
is completed. The marks on the paper are meant for an indicative
comparison and should not be treated as an empirical method of
establishing that the bupe tablets have been crushed and refined.

This is what the powder looks like after it’s been refined…the
tablets should have been powdered into a fine…er, powdery substance
by now. It should be noted that the powder looks “compact” coz of the
folded paper, but it can be “chopped” with anything to form fine powder
lines suitable for snorting.

I find that buprenorphine is rather enjoyable during the times that
you have no to little opiate tolerance. It’s not comparable to
methadone (which is much more euphoric), but it beats dihydrocodeine by
a long shot. The effects can be felt about 15 minutes after
insufflation and it peaks at about the T+ 0:45 mark. The peak can be
quite intense and gives off a satisfactory euphoria that you’ll expect
from opiate agonists.

I like buprenorphine and I’ve been purchasing it during my
excursions back to Sibu (bupe is a restricted pharmaceutical and it’s
hard to obtain through legitimate channels, so I go through my pharmacy
friend). It’s not comparable to methadone, but it’s recreational in its
own right. It’s good for the times when methadone is not available.
Both are used for withdrawal management with heroin dependant
individuals, but both can be used recreationally as well. I’m giving
buprenorphine the thumbs up for recreational value.

Mabron injection (IV, IM, SC) report

I managed to get hold of a box of Mabron (tramadol hydrochloride)
injection ampoules from my good pharmacy friend. Mabron can be
administered via IV (Intravenous Injection), IM (Intra-muscular
Injection) or SC (Subcutaneous Injection) and comes in a box of 5 x 200
mg ampoules.

Here’s a closer look at the box. It contains 100 mg of tramadol
hydrochloride for injection per ml. The ampoules are 2 ml each, so that
comes out to 200 mg per ampoule. I administered the Mabron solution
using Terumo .29 G syringes.

This is the Mabron (IV, IM, SC) ampoules. It comes in old skool
glass ampoules that can be snapped off at the top. I took three videos
of myself injecting Mabron – SC, IM and IV respectively. I originally
only wanted to do IV but I forgot my 256 MB SD Card and only had a 16
MB SD Card at my disposal so the videos are rather rushed as I needed
to finish everything in slightly more than 60 seconds.

There isn’t anything much I can add to tramadol that hasn’t been described in the original tramadol experience report [sixthseal.com]…but the injectible form of tramadol has differences from the oral ingestion capsules described below:

feel a rush, sweating, speedy effects predominate but seretonin
release is there too. feels very nice. gets me clumsy too. feels like
the familiar tramadol opiate with serotonin bonus effects but MUCH
STRONGER. it feels much speedier too. i would consider iv tramadol a
recreational drug.

I would consider Mabron (tramadol hydrochloride) to be recreational in injection form when it’s administered using syringes.

Disclaimer: The scenes depicted in the videos did
not happen the last time I went back to Sibu. It happened a long, long
time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.

Viagra (sildenafil tablets) vs. Cialis (tadalafil tablets)

Viagra (sildenafil) is very well known as a first line treatment for Erectile Dysfunction (ED). Cialis (tadalafil) debuted a couple of years after the release of Viagra and is considered the second generation of PDE5 inhibitors. I managed to get these sweet, sweet pharmaceutical sample packs in pristine packaging (and with the pharmaceuticals still valid for consumption to boot!) from as a gift from a good friend who prefers to remain anonymous. Thanks R! =D

This is the promotional sample pack of Viagra from Pfizer. This is the product that gave Pfizer a long dominance on the lucrative ED market…and in pharmaceuticals, that is one hell of a long head start. ED used to be called “impotence” but that term had certain connotations that challenged the male ego, so medical professionals dubbed it Erectile Dysfunction (ED) instead, which sat better with XY chromosomes, as it doesn’t have any negative implications and/or
references regarding performance (or rather the lack thereof ;)) and pushes it into the realm of clinical legitimacy. 😉

Viagra debuted as the first clinical treatment approved by the FDA for ED and put the brand name Viagra into a household name and made Pfizer millions from “The Little Blue Pill“.
Viagra is the pharmaceutical blockbuster that every pharmaceutical company wishes they own the patent to. 🙂 The promotional sample pack by Pfizer (it’s meant for medical practitioners to prescribe to qualified patients for free trial use to see how the subject tolerates this particular medication) contains four (4) of the familiar diamond shaped blue Viagra pills in nice packaging and the Pfizer logo on it.

Here’s a closer look at the Pfizer Viagra promotional packs – the four blister packs contains a diamond tablet of Viagra (sildenafil) 50 mg in each solid cocoon. It doesn’t have the “Sample – Not for Sale” stamp, so experience tells me that it either came from the “diverted pharmaceuticals” (a catch-all euphemism) market, or the person who sourced it has really good pharmaceutical industry connections. I’m going for the latter since this generous friend of
mine gets a lot of pharmaceutical products.

The back of the blister pack contains the highly acclaimed VIAGRA brand name in bold blue font. The lettering beneath states the dose and the generic name – “50 mg SILDENAFIL TABLETS“, and the Pfizer logo dominates the rest of the real estate. There is also text that reads PM81401 on the foil. The batch number is located on the bottom and the expiry date (10/2005) is listed. It’s still good. 😉

The Viagra tablets are also adorned with the Pfizer pharmaceuticals company logo at the back of the blue pill.

Cialis (tadalafil)

Cialis came in late into the ED game but the Lilly marketing machine worked overtime to make this a bestseller. Cialis was promoted as better alternative to Viagra due to tadalafil being effective for 36 hours after the initial dose…which was a major issue Viagra users experienced – time dependant dosing. The 36-hour Cialis Difference was coined then, and it was publicized as a relatively safe ED medication which works up to36 hours and absorption is not
significantly affected by food. It was a breakthrough! Middle aged men everywhere rejoiced as they realized that they could just innocently pop a Cialis tablet a day without having to carry a Viagra tablet around “just in case” they get some on a date. 😉

The Cialis pharmaceutical promotional pack contains 2 x 20 mg Cialis. I’m not sure what to call the blister pack sealed doses – are they pills? Tablets? Capsules? It looks like…a fruit of some sort. The tablet design is unique – there is a large rounded base tapering off to a tip. The front of the pack contains the lot number as well as the expiry date (DEC/2006) – it’s still good. 😉

The back of the Cialis blister pack is nicely decorated – there’s the Cialis brand name with the generic names listed below in different languages – tadalafil, tadalafilli and tadalafilo. The 20 mg per capsule dosage indication is visible and the Eli Lilly logo is watermarked at the bottom.

I’m keeping the Viagra and Cialis packs for my collection. There is a common misconception that ED medications are aphrodisiacs (e.g. they can induce sexual activity). They’re not, the pharmacological mechanism does not involve sexual arousal. It won’t turn you on…and most of you already know that. It’s just a pet peeve of mine when people says it does. Methamphetamine is an indirect aphrodisiac. Viagra and Cialis are not.

I don’t consider Viagra and Cialis to be recreational per se, but I’ll probably try some and write a report on it. I have to say that my chemical of comparison would be methamphetamine though, so don’t expect raving reviews from me. 😉 I’ll like to give it a go though, just for
fun.

Except I can’t bring myself to eat them, they’re packaged so nicely by the pharmaceutical companies!

Stilnox – zolpidem experience report (100 mg oral)

Stilnox is the name zolpidem is marketed under by the sanofi-aventis
group. It is sold as Ambien in the US and Myslee in Japan. The three
names all refer to zolpidem tartrate tablets in 10 mg doses. It’s made
by the same company, just sold under different names in different
countries, a pharmaceutical practice I never did understand, like Roche
selling clonazepam as Klonopin in the US and Rivotril elsewhere.

Stilnox (zolpidem) is one of the four non-benzodiazepine novel
z-drugs. Zolpidem belongs to the imidazopyridine group of chemical
compounds. It has a very short half-life of just 2 hours and is
marketed as a hypnotic (sleeping pill). It was the second z-drug to
come out, debuting in 1992 after zopiclone (1989). The third z-drug is
zaleplon (Sonata), which is not available in Malaysia.

The fourth one (used to be only 3 of them) has just hit the market
under the name Lunesta (eszopiclone) and is the first one to be
approved for indefinite prescription (!). I’ve been following
eszopiclone for quite a while and it just came out (as in now), so it’s
not available in Malaysia yet. However, I just talked to my doctor
about this and he’s excited (my extreme enthusiasm about
pharmaceuticals is infectious) about it too.

Mostly about the “indefinite prescription” part, coz he’s been
giving me Dormicum (midazolam) 15 mg, Rivotril (clonazepam) 2 mg, and
Xanax (alprazolam) 0.25 mg. I’ve been getting this from him regularly
and he’s starting to talk about tapering, so I compromised on the Xanax
(used to have 0.5 mg). Which is fine by me, he doesn’t know about the
other two doctors who’re prescribing me other benzodiazepines. 😉

He’s a nice doctor though – he’s made it clear that medical support
is will always be available from him due to my long history of
benzodiazepine use, so he’s only going to encourage me to taper off
Xanax and stay on Rivotril and Dormicum indefinitely. I appreciate him
for that. He’s the best doctor I have now, since the one in Sibu
stopped practicing due to the Big C (Bless Him!). There’s another nice
and understanding doctor here that I see, but he has a disturbing
tendency to read Bible verses to me…

The good doctor (the one I was talking about) is not a big fan of
the “lazy” (his words) people at BPFK and estimates that it’ll take 8
months before Singapore approves Lunesta and probably close to a year
before Malaysia gets the clinical data and safety profiles from other
countries and finally writes a monograph and by the time it’s approved,
it’ll be 2 years. I like his healthy disregard for the BPFK. 😉 He’s
going to get it in for me anyway, which is great of him…hopefully,
I’ll be the first to sample eszopiclone in Malaysia.

I digress…back to zolpidem, I bought it from the pharmacy in Sibu
(amongst other things which I will post about soon). I don’t need
prescriptions coz the pharmacy is owned by someone related to my mom. I
think she’s my aunt or something. I didn’t know that until much later,
I just became friends with the son a couple of years ago, and now I
realize he’s my cousin. Jesus. I digress again. The Stilnox (zolpidem)
cost me RM 30 which means one 10 mg tablet is RM 3. I’ve had zolpidem
before (which is where the pill pictures come from), but not in 100 mg
doses. This will be my first time ingesting a high dose of zolpidem.

This experience report details the oral ingestion of zolpidem under the following parameters:

Dosage: 10 x 10 mg Stilnox (zolpidem tartrate) for 100 mg in a single dose.
Experiment aims: Exploring the pharmacodymanics of
high doses of zolpidem and reported visuals associated with it. (Read:
Get high and have fun. ;))
Other drug interactions: Methamphetamine use for the
past 72 hours (3 days) without sleep and food. Clonazepam, alprazolam
and lorazepam also taken during the past 8 hours before dosing.
Cannabis was smoked after dosing.

Experience report (complete and uncorrected):

Damn, I just saw red spots (large ones) everywhere after I downed
100 mg of zolpidem (whole blister pack of 10 x 10 mg damn I can still
type ::))

Good; I already have sleep deprivation hallucinations coz ive been
up for 3 days without sleep and food. The fucking walls (thank god for
ms word auto capital letter) were CRAWLING. Fucking moving like I just
took a large amount of k (not line, just near till you can’t move).

Yeah things are starting to look strange now. Definite improvement
from the previous sleep dep visuals, this is more mellow, slow. Like
the start of an acid trip teaser visuals. I keep on forgetting wat I
wanted to do. Allthat meth no sleep and benzos (had al ot of diff ones
just now, I do that towards the end of the run while still injecting
just so I don’t go fucking psycho and assault someone, you know that
meth comedown violent feeling, so its good to temper it a bit with
benzos.

Was telling a friend that us Asians (in some more liberal countries
anyway) don’t really tell people from the US or UK about how large (wow
things are moving now, surfaces quivering and OEV, wow) anyway we don’t
tell coz the climate here allows some of us to buy benzos in huge
amounts and it’s always available in a pharmacy you know, and also the
multiple scripts you get from different docs. Imagine always having
large quantities of Dormicum, Xanax, Rivotril (Klonopin), Ativan,
Mogadon, Phenobarbital, Valium and so forth at home.

Imagine how big a habit you can work out in countries where benzos
are easily obtainable shit I forgot wat I wantd to say. Anyway, imagine
having all that benzos around and imagine the huge doses we need. I
hear US people saying that 30 mg diazepam is “excessive”. Jesus, I take
200 mg diazepam an drink red wine for fun..and someone said no one can
take 100 mg of valium and still stay awake. Was laughing coz when
you’re in a benzo friendly country you can get as much benzos as you
want, so its easy to work up to a habit for life.

US and other countries are diff, its harder to stockpile such a huge
amount since rx rules are tighter and pharms won’t sell it to profit
under the table. Thus, more people there are less experienced with
benzos so we usually don ‘t comment since we come from Benzo Bazaar. 🙂

Ok donr writing, gonna check on visuals now coz I’ve been
steadfastly ifnoring hem for the past minutes while I concentrate and
finish what I was writing. Everything looks smooth now and I can seee
cardboard box that contains a fan slowly developing cracks and cracks
up.

I knew it! 🙂 Meth runs without sleep (dep hallucinations) and
without food (ultra fast absorption) and zopidem or zopiclone will give
you nice visuals esp when you close your eyes (INTENSE). Benzos won’t
improve on the visuals, it just calms you down a bit, the only ones
there are from sleep dep/

But the z drugs (have not tried the other one not available here,
sonata I think) will IMPROVE on th visuals and calms you down too.
However, don’t mean to be dicksizing or anything, just stating the
obvious), you need to have a large benzo tolerance to remain awake at
large doses of benzos or zopidem/zopiclon. You gotta be awake to enjoy
the visuals. It’s nice, it’s not like the scary sleep dep ones but an
improved fun ad happy visual anomalies. Heh) smoking cannabis after
taking also makes it more fun.

I want to get sth to eat coz ihaven’t for 3 days but I dun think I
an be sober. I forget things instantly. Jesus. But I’m hugry and I need
water coz I hardly drank any during my meth run// will go now, it’s
okay, it’s the regular place, just get sth to take away and of course
drinks. I need to drink.

Wow fuck I closed my eyes for 10 seconds and I saw myself CLEARLY ,
saw my reflection clearly sitting on a train and looking out the dark
window. It was night. It was SO VIVID I couldn’t believe it/ I’ll
always take zopidem when coming down. Get entertained with these sweet
visuals before sleeping. I’m going to get food now though, wish me
luck, I can’t retain a memory for more than 2 secs/

Just want to tell you all that there’s SWARMS of schools of those
black worms/snakes moving around the room. They can turn bigger and
become translucent too. Heh I’m enjoying this. I can close my eyes and
see myself in a coffee shop with people moving around me to sit and eat
too, one guy had a yellow t shirt and was wearing glasses. So vivid and
nice these CEVs/ oops sorry I used the wron reference just now. All
above means OEV when I wrote CEV. Of course I got a lot of nice opened
eyed visuals but the ones I described as ultra pantone color vivid
comes in closed eyed visuals. It’s like the mind makes a dream for our
eyeballs. We could just be large balls floating on some God’s bar where
everyone is wearing a while robe and has a bread, yo know the works.

We could be in that ball like matrix and the god eats it and poof
our plate of reality as we know it is gone with just one chew.
Everything we’ve known and loved. Forgotten coz we cease to exist after
that. Imagine if we’re really in dimensions. We could be in a baseball
in a God’s beer mug now and he nearly sipped the whole ball (quite big)
in but decided not to yet.

Last time not as intense coz no meth run (sleepdep) and 3 days
without sleep (dep) and food (metabolizedultra fast) plus absobtion.

I took zopidem alone (not whole blister pack but near it) a couple
of years ago and the visuals were dismal compared to this. And I cant
even remember your name Bob! I’m moving around, whee!

3 days of tweaking the usual way with no food no sleep and minimal water
(I had to move very close co I had to make sure I was writing the
currect thing coz I forgot now and theres; a guy in a grey shirt

Zolpidem is such a nice guy what did he do this to me. I know, I
wanted it, but you still have to take more benzos. Jesus, I looked over
the CRT monitor tat wasn’t functioning and I saw myself and screen
warping in 3d. Like I’m in a sitcom. Bizarre this 100 mg dose zopidem
when going out – the visuals are intense, you probably will forget
something (everything), I think she’s funny. She got me 100 mg fr RM 30
we’re firnds.

I’m at plateus now, no it should be alright if I drive very ery
safely. I want to grab something to eat and enjoy strilling around
while getting tis mellow ass hallucinations. Thanks!

P/S – My notebook case (black) was so intense just now.. Full opened
eyed hallucioations. Saw the bag beieng move. It moves like tentacles
until puzzled, I looked it in the eye and it’s stil don’t care and wave
the smaller strands and threads in front of my face.

I still can’t stop dooling the whole time. I think we’re still under
the influence but passed two hours already (prob coz I take lots). I’m
don’t have good motor control and I saw the ground in that room movep
like it was living.

OK im not making sense now. I will enjoy the rest of the trip and grab something to eat. Zopidem gets big tumbs up from me!

I’m at baseline now – it’s been 2 hours and 30 minutes or so since I
dosed. It’s great one, zolpidem – it gives visuals in the right
condition. I hereby declare myself fond of zolpidem and I realize that
a big part part of the reason I like it so much is the peak, where the
thought patterns gets all mixed up and the heavier visuals starts to
come and everything just gets intense and disorienting for a while.

It feels like everything is confusing and it feels like total abandon! 🙂

I can see why people like this. The anterograde amnesia effects were
very strong as well, comparable to midazolam. I don’t know whether it
was the high dose I took but I can’t remember what happened an hour ago
coz the time skipped. Total abandon and time skipping – it’s gotta be
good. :p I can’t say I didn’t have fun though.

Plus, zolpidem has a short 2-3 hours half-life only so it’ll be
perfect for recreational use if you can remain awake on very high
doses. It feels good peaking at 100 mg of zolpidem on an empty stomach
and experiencing the delirium, disorientation and you won’t be able to
remember. 😉

It’s all about the disorientating peak – it feels like magic mushrooms with hit of nitrous oxide. Nice…

Zyprexa (olanzapine) experience report

Zyprexa is an atypical anti-psychotic in the thienobenzodiazepine
class. Notice the -benzodiazepine part? I know olanzapine (the generic
name of Zyprexa) does not belong to the benzodiazepine class per se,
but it does have some characteristics (weak binding to the BZD and GABA
A receptor) of classic benzodiazepines. Besides, it’s chemical name
ends with 1,5(benzodiazepine). 😉

I have had experience with olanzapine before, but I wanted a second
time before I get around to writing a report. Zyprexa (olanzepine) is
hard to come by, coz the only people who prescribes it are
psychiatrists. I managed to get some off a friend who’s on it as part
of a prescription regiment for bipolar disorder (manic-depressive was
the old name for this condition).

I have to say that I was on about 400 mg of tramadol and probably
have a steady state of tramadol coz I use that on a daily basis to
boost my serotonin levels, with increasing doses towards the end of the
week. There are some records of possible serotonin syndrome due to the
unusual SSRI nature of tramadol when combined with olanzapine and
mirtazapine so be careful if you’re taking this particular combination.

Back to olanzapine, I got two 5 mg tablets from the abovementioned
friend, split into two for 4 doses of 2.5 mg. The blister packs are
silver and unmarked on the top and have “Lilly Zyprexa 5 mg olanzapine”
at the back. The tablets are white coated, with a yellow center.
Olanzapine is used to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder and
binds primarily to the serotonin, dopamine, muscarinic, histamine and
adrenergic receptors.

The front of the tablets is imprinted with “Lilly 4115”, some
internal coding scheme. I took 10 mg (two full tablets of the split 5
mg tabs) on an empty stomach and somnolence (people in the medical
profession prefers to call it “feelin’ damn drowsy”) was
uncharacteristically noticed at around T+ 4:00. I used
“uncharacteristically” coz I had not taken any benzodiazepines that day
and I’m on a very high daily regiment. Thus, I took 1 mg of lorazepam (just so not to have any seizures and all that) and went to sleep.

I woke up about once every 6 hours with extremely vivid dreams. I
mean, those dreams are weird ass nightmare-dreams and they’re fucking lucid.
I can’t remember what exactly I dreamt, but it was all in a sequence
and so surreal…I easily slipped back into the warm folds of sleep
after waking up each time and finally decided to get up at noon the
next day (T+ 19:00). I was still very sleepy and would have loved to
get back to bed, but forced myself up anyway. This is one hell of a
long acting psychotropic…reminds me of phenobarbital.

I immediately noticed something when I started to move – my motor
coordination was way off the charts. I had to sober up and go for lunch
and I couldn’t even hold my eating implements without fumbling. I
couldn’t even squeeze a lime without twitching, for crying out loud!

The motor coordination problems (or rather the lack of it) started
to go away at T+ 21:00 and good riddance…it’s a little disconcerting
that you can’t do simple things like hold a pair of chopsticks without
fumbling and making your friends go “What are you on mate???” and
you’ll be mumbling “Nothing, nothing.”. Oh, and one more note about
olanzapine…it seems to affect speech coordination as well. I found it
very hard to express myself.

Olanzapine…is it recreational? Well, it’s not on the top of my “to
do” list, but I’m glad I tried it. I guess it depends on how you define
“recreational” (again). It puts you out for a long time, so it might be
useful for comedowns. It’s one of those “trying for the sake of trying”
drugs that veritas is so fond of… 😉

DXM tablets – Cofdex 30 mg dextromethorphan

This is a bottle of 1000 Cofdex tablets. It contains 30 mg of
dextromethorphan (DXM) per tablet and is mainly used as a cough
suppressant. However, DXM has a cult following due to its remarkable
NMDA antagonist effects. It’s used recreationally by people who like
psychedelics or just a good old mind fuck. I would describe the
experience as a cross between ketamine (another NMDA antagonist) and
acid (LSD). I usually take 20 tablets but you need to calculate your
body weight to know what dose will push you to the trippy third plateau.

The interesting aspect of DXM is that it brings you to different
plateaus, with each one giving you a different experience, depending on
the dosage (which is calculated by body weight). I’m about 56 kg so 600
mg would put me to the third plateau, which is the one I always aim
for. I didn’t like DXM the first time I tried it, I thought it didn’t
give me much effects. The same goes for the second time. However, it
put me into a very heavy trip the third time, where you can see my thought process on DXM [sixthseal.com]. That post was written under the influence of DXM. It’s a real mind fuck.

It’s hard to obtain Robitussin DX here and pure DXM tablets are hard
to find too. You do not want antihistamines or pseudoephedrine in your
dose if you’re aiming for a high plateau. I was surprised to find that
my pharmacy friend has a bottle of it and I got it off him for RM 150.
We didn’t count the tablets; I just offered him that price by looking
at the remainders. It turned out to be more than 300 tablets. I take
DXM occasionally when I want to learn something or just trip.

cofdex dxm

The trick to getting effects from DXM is to fast (don’t eat
anything) for at least 18 hours beforehand and then dump the whole load
at once. Otherwise, it’ll just give you a slight puzzling drunken
feeling, and not a full out trip. This one need an empty stomach for it
to “work” and you need to “hold it down” i.e. not throw up. 😉 I only
learned that during the third time I tried it.

DXM is not commonly available in Malaysia – the cough suppressant of
choice is codeine, but if you see DXM HBr (without other active
ingredients) and you like ketamine, it feels something like that – with
less euphoria and more mind fuck. 🙂
