Absolut Pears

absolut pears

I managed to get a 1 liter bottle of Absolut Pears for RM 43 thanks to Charlz. Her friend was in Langkawi and managed to bring back one bottle for me, which she passed to me just now. BTW, the beverage on her desk is guava juice – note that the seal to the Absolut Pears is intact. πŸ˜‰

Charlz, we put it to Good Use (TM). =D

In sleep he sang to me
In dreams he came
That voice that calls to me and speaks my name
…and do I dream again for now I find
The Phantom of the Opera is there
Inside my mind

Sing once again with me
Our strange duet
My power over you grows stronger yet
…and though you turn from me to glance behind
The Phantom of the Opera is here
Inside your mind

Absolut Akimbo!

absolut akimbo

Absolut Akimbo! I managed to get two (2) 1 liter bottles of duty-free vodka goodness from my sister and her husband traveling back from NZ. I wanted Absolut New Orleans and Absolut Los Angeles (the two new city themed Absolut vodka flavors) but my sister couldn’t find it…or couldn’t be bothered to look for it, I’ll never be sure. πŸ˜‰

absolut ruby red

She couldn’t find Absolut Pears (to complete my Absolut-ly Fabulous liquor collection) either, so I settled with Absolut Ruby Red, which I already have and thus have earned the right (in my twisted rhetoric) to drink…

absolut mango

…and Absolut Mango, launched earlier this year for my collection.

absolut madness

I’ve been trying to find the elusive Absolut 100 (2007) in the black bottles that weighs in at a respectable 50% alcohol but it’s apparently not available at our fine KLIA duty free retail experience. Oh well…

Happy monthsary, dear. πŸ™‚

Absolut Vanilla

absolut vanilla store

I saw this Absolut Vanilla (well, it says Absolut Vanilia, but
Vanilla is easier to write ;)) promotion when I was walking through the
mall just now. There’s a standard 750 ml of Absolut Vanilia and a
miniature 50 ml bottle of Absolut Vanilla for RM 107.99.

absolut vanilla text

I haven’t had this particular vanilla infused vodka from Absolut
before so I got a bottle of Absolut Vanilla. The bottle has writing
that says “Experience the purest natural vanilla blended with the
finest vodka distilled from grain grown in the rich fields of Southern
Sweden.”.

absolut vanilla

I drank the small 50 ml bottle and I was pleased by the scent of
vanilla that wafted out when the bottle was opened. The vodka is nicely
infused with vanilla flavoring too – there’s a very tangible taste of
vanilla in there.

Anyway, I’ll update again later…I’m very pissed off right now,
don’t ask me why. I have to head out now…arranged a last minute
business related appointment.

Stolichnaya vodka chocolates

kch liquor chocs

I found a wide range of liquor based chocolates in the confectionary
shop at the airport while waiting for my flight just now. I’ve had them
before, but never did get a chance to review them.

stolichnaya choc

I decided to get one for a snack – the Stolichnaya vodka chocolate. These aren’t liquor flavoured chocolates – these are the nice ones with REAL liquor syrup inside.

stoli choc swiss

The vodka is imported from Russia, obviously. Stoli is Russian vodka. The chocolate is Swiss chocolate though.

stoli choc shots

I estimate that each block has the alcohol equivalent of 1/4 of a
vodka shot, so that makes two shot glasses worth of Stolichnaya vodka
in the chocolates. It certainly won’t get you anywhere, but it tastes
good.

stoli choc center

The center really is intriguing…filled with vodka syrup, which
will spill if you tip it. It tastes great, nice texture with the burst
of familiar vodka when you bite into the chocolates. Highly
recommended, it’s made with real alcohol, but don’t expect that to get
you anywhere, just go for the great taste.

stoli choc children
Contains alcohol / Not to be given to children!

This has got to be the funniest sign I’ve seen on a package…
