Pilfered breakfast in bed

pilfered breakfast

Bread: Near expiry locally made potato buns picked up from 7-Eleven several days ago
Spread: Pina Colada jam from Club Med, Phuket which is still edible, much to my surprise
Utensils: Disposable cup noodle fork (I eat two at once and keep the spare)
Tea: Gryphon’s English Breakfast Tea (from hotel’s complimentary array) brewed in a cheap ceramic cup with a knockoff design that was a free gift from a twin giant pack toothpaste purchase and a mini thermo lid which I have lost the receptacle from where it came

I was surprised at what I could dig up at home from basically nothing, creating food out of thin air. I’m still lazing around, reading an ebook and I reckon I’ll continue doing that. I haven’t even finished my breakfast, I just came over to write this. Heh.

It’s the breakfast of kings! πŸ˜€

    • Haha! True that, I haven’t been to the supermarket to do my grocery shopping until just now. πŸ™‚

I’ve got my fridge stocked now – was too lazy to head out this morning.

Good thing I found some bread that I bought ages ago and forgot about it. Heh.

      Cheers!

    • Heh! Well, I’m actually saving up so I’m in survival mode now. πŸ™‚

I woke up too early for the supermarket to open and decided to lounge about and discovered – food!

Well, at least enough for breakfast. Heh.

I have so much of that bread in random places that I forgot I even have it.

      Cheers buddy!

  1. This would be my lunch, not my breakfast. Huai Bin, what’s missing now is your lady slipping out of bed to prepare a sumptuous breakfast (with tea or coffee) for you. Lol! xD

Have you tried having a cup of oats for breakfast?

    • Heh! Now that would be nice. πŸ˜‰

I’m not in a relationship though and not planning to be in one currently.

I do have quite a lot of random food at home, I just don’t eat a lot of it – like cereal, including oats and muesli. I also have a lot of biscuits purchased on impulse while grocery shopping but never got around to eating them.

I think I can survive for a week if I wanted to, but I just came back from grocery shopping. Heh.

      Cheers Ciana! πŸ™‚

      Hey, you’re right I haven’t done cooking posts in a while…

…and I used to have HEAPS!

They were lost when I went to rehab. 😑

It was hosted on fireelement.com (no longer my domain) during the period before I went to rehab, I totally lost the contents of that blog coz I couldn’t renew my hosting in rehab (obviously).

I did a lot of cooking with my girlfriend at that time.

Hey, sure thing Yvonne! Thanks, I’ll buzz you when I’m in Singapore.

      Cheers and take care! πŸ™‚

  3. HB, my sometime weekends breakfasts would be toasted English muffins with butter and cup of English breakfast tea. Your sound nice also.

    • Nice! That’s a wholesome breakfast right there.

    • HAHAHAHA

I totally cracked up at that Aud, you really made me laugh so hard, I haven’t done that for *ages* – really laughed I mean.

      Thanks for that. πŸ™‚

It’s very therapeutic, and I don’t know why it seem that our laughter reinforces each other till I had a totally inappropriate laughing fit. Haha!

No worries, you didn’t know, no harm done and sometimes all you can do is laugh at these things.

      Cheers Aud! πŸ˜€

    • Haha! It’s from the breakfast jam selection, I was very impressed with their bread and in-house jam.

It’s soooo good that I asked if I could have some on the very last day before I checked out.

The GO gave me a handful! πŸ˜€

I only wanted a couple though – their Pina Colada ones, so I took about 3 of the mini-jars back and forgot about it…until Sunday morning.

I still have one. Good people, them Club Med staff. πŸ™‚

      Cheers Eiling!

    • Yup, and it’s so unexpected coz I pulled everything out of thin air bro! πŸ™‚

I didn’t think I had anything at home to eat. 😑

I was about to go out grocery shopping but decided to wait and finish reading my ebook first…and then I kicked one of my luggages and it rattled and I remember the jams from Club Med!

I was there on a trip earlier this year and was very impressed with their in-house jam. The GOs were kind enough to furnish me some. The stale bread I found under my bed.

It’s actually expired (by one day). I don’t know how it ended under my bed.

The English Breakfast Tea is rather good too – there’s a surprising amount of caffeine inside but it comes on slowly, unlike coffee.

That’s the story of the breakfast.

      Cheers buddy! πŸ™‚

    • Haha!

Welcome to my fiefdom of (plenty of) nothing. Heh. Well, I think there’s nothing, but I’m sure I’ll find bits of food lying about my studio apartment.

I have no idea where that bread came from. I know I bought it and forgot about it (I thought I ate it) but it appeared under my bed.

      Pleasant surprises. πŸ˜‰

      Cheers!
