This is one of the most awesome chocolates I’ve ever had – it’s made of over 80% cocoa, very dark and bittersweet, with a dusting to finish it.
I think a whole bunch of us in Singapore had way too much of these. I know I certainly did, totally ruined my appetite for dinner.
This is pretty good too – it’s a layered chocolate cake and almost impossible to dissect but let me attempt to describe it – it contains layer after layer of moist and fluffy pastry covered with chocolate. I was impressed, it was so light it felt like I was eating mostly air.
Lobster shooters. I liked this one too – awesomely concocted pieces of lobsters with the accompanying sauces and garnishes in one ready-to-drink (eat?) shot.
This were the chocolates that had liquor in it – it’s infused with Bailey’s Irish Cream. I preferred the original high cocoa content chocolate cubes instead but a lot of others liked these. 🙂
<3 chocolates :))
Where were you in Singapore?
Hello Dora! 🙂
Yeah me too, great stuff, I love high cocoa content chocolates too. I practically *stuffed* myself with those chocolate cubes.
Ruined my appetite for dinner that one. Heh.
This is at Loola’s by Awfully Chocolate in Esplanade, Singapore last week – was one of the Windows 8 influences there and that was where the media after-party was held.
Cheers! 🙂
The chocs look like cubes of Bintulu belacan… LOL!!!
LOL STP! sweat betul!
belancan is fishy but choco is heavenly!
Heh! Yeah it does look like a bit like the dried ones. Creates unfortunate associations though – definitely unsavory ones. 😡
I loved the chocolates!
I was wondering if they sold them since it’s made in-house but I didn’t have time to ask coz we had to leave for the transport back to Fullerton Bay Hotel, which I could actually have walked back, it’s not that far away. Heh.
Cheers Constance! 🙂
Haha! That would be quite funny if those two were substituted…completely different taste and belacan is absolutely intense in this form.
It’s great chocolate though. The place makes them itself – Loola’s by Awfully Chocolate.
They have really good desserts and in-house chocolates. Great stuff.
Cheers buddy! 🙂
I think they were from Royce. Very expensive and worth every single SGD/MYR/JPY/USD/EUR……
Yeah, that’s what a friend told me too! 🙂
I was told it was made in-house though. Maybe the waiter got it wrong, it can’t be a coincidence that two people says it’s Royce.
The chocolates are REALLY, REALLY good, it makes me drool just to think of it now.
Cheers!
Well….. there’s an outlet in KLCC…… :p
I love chocolates. Loves bittersweet over the sweet tyoe.
Yeah, same here! 🙂
The bittersweet kinds are the really good ones – high cocoa content.
I love these ones, I don’t know if it’s Royce, waiter claims it’s made in-house, two people to date has called it Royce so *shrugs*.
These are really delicious! 🙂
Even though I rarely buy chocolate nowadays, I love chocolates – especially the bittersweet ones – and chocolate cakes. It gives me the same kick as the strawberries from Cameron Highlands.
Yeah, I get what you mean Ciana! 🙂
Chocolates like these really puts a smile on your face…at least it did on mine.
It’s probably the theobromine inside, but it’s rare for me to eat chocolates and actually *feel* happy.
It must be the amount I ate and the good quality of the chocolate cubes.
Delicious! 🙂
I haven’t been to Cameron Highlands in a while but I remember the strawberries very well. Very well indeed. Cheers!
man, they looked good, I am slowly learning to appreciate high % cocoa chocolates, but somehow I still like those 50% “cheaper” versions most.
