Purple haze.

I noticed this new decor at the central court of Suria KLCC today.
I was there to meet HB, he’s passing the cherry tobacco to me.
I’m veritas [castitas.com] btw, and I can’t remember the last time I posted here…

I went up and down taking this photo.
It’s a large Christmas tree with a smaller one beside it.
It’s beautiful…just like you.
and it’s attached, just like you…

I don’t know what this feeling I have is…
I’m not infatuated…I don’t think of you all the time…
It’s not a crush, I’ve felt this way for a while.

Cocaine is the new heroin!

and more FUD from the Federal Narcotics Department. I honestly
wonder how much the department and the media knows about
drugs…there’s this distinct lack of knowledge about drugs and the
behavorial aspects of drug users, it’s a wonder they can differentiate
between Ecstasy (MDMA) and Erimin (nimetazepam). Er…nevermind, I
don’t think most of them can. 😉

P/S – Just in case some people are wondering what’s so funny, heroin
users typically (in Australian and other country’s studies during
periouds of draught) turn to either methamphetamine or benzodiazepines
like temazepam. Come on, no one would go for coke, it’s so expensive
and lasts for a scant 30 minutes compared to the much longer lasting
meth. It’s stupid to even suggest that heroin dependant people would go
for cocaine, meth (which is cheap and plentiful in Malaysia) would be
the obvious choice. I didn’t even want to blog about this, but it’s
just too illogical and ill researched and yet it made a front page
article on a major daily newspaper.

Funniest statement:
We have found no cases of cocaine being sold in Malaysia, but the possibility is there.
Look harder. 😉

Most illogical statement:
With the scarcity of heroin in the market, syndicates may try to
smuggle in cocaine, which could be priced even lower than heroin to
attract buyers.
Error…sentence does not compute. :p

Pocket of Persia @ KFC

This is the new Pocket of Persia at Kentucky Fried Chicken. It comes in a nice cardboard package with a sticker sealing it.

The inside of the “Pocket of Persia” contains a pita with two
chicken strips, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo and salsa. Salsa. The horrible,
horrible flashbacks from the time I consumed a two jars of Doritos
Salsa and three packs of corn chips by the same manufacturer and puked
when I had the munchies last time…

Nevermind…here’s a photos of the inside of the Prince of Persia
pita (uneaten). Here’s one that had a couple of bites taken out of it:

I wonder how they manage to get these perfect bites for food
photos…probably a teeth model (like a finger model) trained to take
nice bites to leave appropriate teeth marks. Regardless, it didn’t look
like the picture on the table ad beside, though it did warn that the
serving featured is for illustration purposes only.

Well, I had the combo meal and IMHO, Pocket of Persia just tastes
like a Twister, except now it comes in a taco shell…nothing to write
home about and be careful about that salsa sauce if you’ve had a bad
experience before.

Tear along perforated lines. Remove top flap. Indulge!

Oh and I found out the “right” way to eat it after I’m done…the
packet was made to be eaten without getting your hands dirty. There
were illustrations for the comprehension challenged at the back, but
unfortunately they did not account for people who doesn’t RTFM. That’s
not very nice KFC, I demand reparations since companies are supposed to
cater to the lowest common denominator and now my hands are all dirty,
requiring me to wash them (RM 0.40 for soap and RM 3.42 for my
time)…and don’t even get me going about McDonald’s and their hot
coffee…I didn’t read the “Cautions: Contents may be hot”, oh my poor
tongue…

Anyway, what the fuck was I doing at KFC when I should be at work
like a normal, productive drone of society? I had the flu…caught it
yesterday and it took a turn for the worse today, fever, chills, runny
nose (hate this one), muscle aches etc so I went to see the nearest
doctor. We actually have two medical cards from the office that allows
us to see doctors for free, but unfortunately this polyclinic I go
(within walking distance) to is not on the list, will have to request
an addition tomorrow.

Demam + Selsema

I asked what’s in the selsema (flu) pills, I’m sure its an
anti-histamine of some sort, just wanted to know which ones. The nurse
told me the flu tablets are Piriton (GlaxoSmithKline) tablets
containing 4 mg of chlorpheniramine maleate each and the fever tablets
had paracetamol in them. At least I think that was what she told
me…selsema = flu and demam = fever right?

My liver is going to hate me if I’m wrong…took 3 x 4 mg of the
antihistamines with my usual prescription and some ethanol containing
beverages, and that last one doesn’t like to play nice with
paracetamol. I’m pretty sure I took the right one though – runny nose
cleared right up within the hour. 🙂

Likki’s mail and her great “weed” stunt

I got a package at work today, thanks to Likki
[blogspot.com]! 🙂 It took a while getting here, probably due to the
Raya holidays and to be honest, I was appalled when she told me that
she also sent cherry tobacco in the package. Now, tobacco is perfectly
legal, but it doesn’t look legal, if it passes through any
X-rays at the mail center. I’m not in a position to be under legal
scrutiny so the late package got us rather worried, just like the
Project Pos Malaysia fiasco (deleted from sixthseal.com – it’s a
potential landmine) had veritas popping benzos like M&M’s while
awaiting the confirmation of receipt.

Anyway, I love Likki’s sense of humor, look at what the baggie with the plant material says. Heh! It has “Weed?” in front…

and “Cherry Tabacco =P” at the back. Classic! 😉 There is also a
letter and monetary contribution in the package as well as this card
that I really love. Here’s a scan of the card:

A parting note to anyone who intends to mail me anything – please do not
include things which might look illegal eg Panadol tablets, tobacco
etc. It’s only funny if nothing happens. :p I repeat, please refrain from mailing me anything that even looks remotely illegal if you look at it sideways. I’m not in a position to be under investigation, so please, just don’t do it.

With that said, it’s still damn funny though. Heh. Thanks Likki! I really appreciate this. 🙂

Unfortunately, since I don’t smoke, I’ll pass the cherry tobacco to
the other sixthseal.com author – veritas, who would spin it with
cannabis. I’m sure he’ll love it. 😉

Frusli Roadshow @ Lot 10 with photos of Frusli girls

Frusli Mini Bug.

I passed by Lot 10 today and saw the Frusli event. I was aware of
this from TheSun – they had this page each day with a number on it,
from 1 – 3 and you’re supposed to collect the three different numbers
to redeem a free Frusli bar. I didn’t bother with that, just went to
see what’s going on since I just finished my work at the office and Lot
10 is just a short walk away.

Anyway, there’s supposed to be the original Frusli Mini there, I
don’t know which one it is, but I saw two – a yellow one stuffed with
Frusli cereal bars and a blue one with a customized Frusli paintwork.
The yellow one also has a Frusli decal on the bonnet and it’s filled
with the bars. It was cordoned off and had “The British Job” comes to
Lot 10 banners with a competition for people to guess how many Frusli
bars are in the Mini Bug.

There’s also a stage where there’s some shows going on, I saw a
“Wheel of Fortune” type spinner which awards a prize depending on where
the pointer falls on after the spin. Besides that, there was a Frusli
booth with people packing samples for the Frusli girls (well, promoters
would be a better word, but anyway…) to distribute to the public.
This begs the question of why TheSun promo was necessary since there
were at least 12 Frusli girls giving away samples.

Thai Seafood Sensation Pizza

Pizza Hut’s Thai Seafood Sensation Pizza (spicy)

It tastes pretty good – the sauce is great and there’s tuna, squid
and crabstick with other stuff on it. Ordered delivery just now, woke
up, called for a pizza, ate it and I’m going to sleep now. I have to go
to work tomorrow…and I still haven’t made a full recovery so here’s a
final rally, couple of beers, stuff myself, (I didn’t inhale), (legally
prescribed) and yeah, sounds like I’ll have a nice 12 hour sleep. 🙂

NORML News, Anthony and Melbourne

Today was Anthony’s last day at XM Malaysia. Everyone say bye and good luck. You will be missed.

I’m going to Melbourne on the 12th of December and will be coming back on the 17th. Convocation. Staying at The Paramount [theparamount.com.au]. Can’t go to Hard Kandy, but will probably hit another rave. Note to self: Avoid hassles at customs. Do not bring wallet or backpack over, not even after washing.

Well, it’s Thursday night now, and there has been a distinct lack of
updates, as you may or may not have noticed. 🙂 Anyway, I’m not dead,
killed or in jail so that means I’m either depressed (my quarterly
serotonin depletion) or something has happened. A little bit of both,
I’ll say. Monday night was crazy, my gf went back to Sibu on Tuesday
morning for more than a month and my “Warning! Serotonin levels low!”
indicators went off last Sunday and was beeping all through the Hari
Raya holidays.

Thus, I slept. I figured that was the best way to counter depression
(damned sea dwelling mammal…*shakes fist*) – always works for me. I
can count the hours I was awake during Raya holidays on the digits of
one finger. With a little chemical assistance (legally prescribed,
thank you very much), my waking hours were greatly reduced to ride the
depression wave and I’m pretty much okay now, and I project serotonin
levels will be back to normal by tomorrow. 🙂 sixthseal.com will be
updated as usual from now on. My apologies about the Quarterly
Serotonin Induced Hiatus (QSIH).

Big pink cupcake with yellow fringes

This is definitely the largest cupcake I’ve ever seen…used to eat
them when I was young, they were purely white then, but the colored
varieties do pop up once in a while. They all taste the same though. I
got this at Bangsar pasar malam just now. I haven’t seen one that comes
in such a big variety before and two of us couldn’t finish it. It’s
pictured next to an RM 1 coin, but it doesn’t seem to show the scale of
the big cupcake well. It’s about 3-4 times bigger than the normal sized
ones and it’s in a large plastic container base.

Anyway, when I was young, I would only eat the top parts – the four
soft chunks on the top and leave the bottom part for someone else to
eat, which usually would be my father. I did not like the crumbly and
relatively hard base – only the soft top then. Strangely though, this
variety goes against the soft top – hard base mould. The bottom of this
is softer than the top and the top chunks taste like the bottom of the
normal ones.

MDMA (and other drugs, non users) research at my alma mater

I saw this notice on Pillreports.com

So…who’s going? 😉 The research is being done at my previous campus
(Caulfield). I live at halls in Clayton but my main campus is at
Caulfield (20 minutes drive), though I can take subjects in Clayton. I
know Monash Uni had CADAR but wasn’t aware of active research by the
center. Help out if you can, it would be interesting to see the results
of this study. Here’s the details from the page:

Cognitive Performance and Monitoring in Dance Drug users (Melbourne, Australia)

People who have used ecstasy for over three years required to participate in a psychological study.

Research through Monash University’s Centre for Applied Drug and
Alcohol Research (CADAR) is looking for people over 18 years old:

who have used ecstasy for over three years

who would be interested in participating in a psychological study

We are also testing people who have used ecstasy for less time than
this, people who have used no drugs at all, and people who have used
other drugs (e.g. speed, cannabis etc) but no ecstasy.

Participation will involve around 3-4 hours of your time, and is
open to those able to make it to Monash University, Caulfield.
Participants will be reimbursed for out of pocket expenses.
