Ngiu Kee and Singer joint fashion show at Saberkas

singer fashion show

This is the joint Singer – Ngiu Kee fashion show at Saberkas
yesterday night. The clothes were by the brands carried by Ngiu Kee, so
don’t expect any outstanding outfits from the minds of a fashion
designer. This is mass produced clothes modeled by just a few male and
female models. I’m putting up just a couple photos, I really can’t
justify the bandwidth for this “fashion show”. πŸ˜‰ Here there are:

singer1
The heroin chic look…or something.

singer 2
Models Wanted For Fashion Show in Kuching
Any female or male can apply. Ngiu Kee and Singer has a strict policy
not to discriminate – no applicants will be rejected for aesthetic
reasons.

singer 3
Literally “at home with Singer”.

singer 4
This is best of show.

Anyway, I didn’t wait around for it to end, since there were only a
few models recycled for different outfits. I met up with Ah Boon, Ah
Ann, Ah Loon and his gf and two other girls (friends of Ah Loon, all of
whose names I promptly forgot, sorry, benzos) and we went to:

point one cafe

Point One Cafe for food.

grappa

Grappa. I think. I wasn’t very sober then.

ak47 kch

AK47 (I think) when Grappa closed for the night. I was definitely inebriated at this point.

There you go…here’s a testament of my abstinence from illicits – I
went out despite the increased probability of raids due to the police
big wig coming into Kuching. Ergo, a logical mind would conclude that
I’ve really quit all illegal substance use since I was confident of
passing a urine test. So there. πŸ˜‰

Oh, and another mark in the doctor shopping log – successful one
yesterday for clonazepam and lorazepam. The report will be written when
I’m free, posted on castitas.com and announced here.

Frusli Roadshow @ Lot 10 with photos of Frusli girls

frusli_bug.jpg
Frusli Mini Bug.

I passed by Lot 10 today and saw the Frusli event. I was aware of
this from TheSun – they had this page each day with a number on it,
from 1 – 3 and you’re supposed to collect the three different numbers
to redeem a free Frusli bar. I didn’t bother with that, just went to
see what’s going on since I just finished my work at the office and Lot
10 is just a short walk away.

frusli_car.jpg
Frusli blue customized Mini.

Anyway, there’s supposed to be the original Frusli Mini there, I
don’t know which one it is, but I saw two – a yellow one stuffed with
Frusli cereal bars and a blue one with a customized Frusli paintwork.
The yellow one also has a Frusli decal on the bonnet and it’s filled
with the bars. It was cordoned off and had “The British Job” comes to
Lot 10 banners with a competition for people to guess how many Frusli
bars are in the Mini Bug.

frusli_mini_bug.jpg
Guess how many cereal bars is in the car?

frusli_stage.jpg
Frusli stage.

There’s also a stage where there’s some shows going on, I saw a
“Wheel of Fortune” type spinner which awards a prize depending on where
the pointer falls on after the spin. Besides that, there was a Frusli
booth with people packing samples for the Frusli girls (well, promoters
would be a better word, but anyway…) to distribute to the public.
This begs the question of why TheSun promo was necessary since there
were at least 12 Frusli girls giving away samples.

Anyway, I didn’t have time to stay for long, but I did take some photos of the Frusli girls, so here they are:

By the way, IMHO, the blueberry Frusli bars taste the best out of them all.

The two Chinese girl scam

girls_pose.jpg
Zhao Shu Juen and Zhang Jie.

I don’t actually know if this is a scam, but I have a strong
suspicion it is. Anyway, I was walking to Suria KLCC after work when I
was approached by two females (photo above). I was taking photos of the
Deepavali decorations with my digicam strapped around me and I heard
them hailing me from across the street. I did not heed them as I was
trying to get a steady shot and I was standing in traffic, which is
enough multitasking for me.

Well, they came over to my side of the road and accosted me. One of
them asked if I was Malaysian, and I said yes, but I’m not from KL, I
just work here. The other one then asked if she could use my cell phone
because they just arrived in KL from China today and they somehow
didn’t bring any cash and their ATM card doesn’t work, so they’re stuck
here. They needed to use my cell phone to call their dad, who is coming
tomorrow and tell him to bring cash instead coz they said China’s ATM
cards doesn’t work here.

Anyway, I was happy to help (even though my cell phone credit is
rather low) so I let them call Beijing on the condition that they pose
for a photograph. I take a lot of street shots for my personal stock
photo collection, plus I thought this would make a good post so I
wanted to get pictures to go with it. They agreed and I let them use my
cell phone. They called a number which went 00865525xxxx (last four
digits crossed out for their privacy).

girls_phone_call.jpg
Zhang Jie phones home.

That really is a phone number from the People’s Republic of China, I
checked the country code. Anyway, after talking on the phone for a
while, she passed the phone to me and said her mom wanted to talk to
me. Her mom’s Beijing accent was really strong, I couldn’t catch half
of the words she said, but I get the gist of it – she was thanking me
for allowing her daughter to use the phone, so I said no problem. My
Digi credit went from RM 25.35 to RM 2.69 though…

Anyway, they told me that they’re medical school students from
Beijing and just arrived today without any cash. “Where are you going
to sleep then?”, I asked altruistically. “I was about to get to
that…”, one of the girls replied. “I’m sorry, but could you do us a
favor? Can you please lend us some money for a hotel tonight?”

girls_noflash.jpg
The two Beijing girls, photo taken without flash.

So there I was…considering if they’re scamming me or they really
are stuck in KL without money. Now, I wouldn’t mind helping out if the
situation was really what they said it was…but I only have about RM
20 in my wallet and I told them so. “Oh, we’ll just take whatever you
have…give me your number and I’ll call you tomorrow once my dad gets
here and I’ll pay you back okay? I’ll buy you lunch too.”, said one of
the girls.

“How are you going to get a hotel room for just RM 20???”, I asked.
The girls mumbled something which I couldn’t catch and then asked if I
could withdraw some money from an ATM. The audacity….I said no,
because the situation is starting to sound rather dodgy. I told them to
go to the police station nearby and they would direct them to the
Chinese embassy for help. “Oh, then it’s alright, we’ll just take the
RM 20.”, they said.

Here is where the story gets slightly more interesting. They kept on
repeating the story about coming to KL and having no money and there
were slight discrepancies in every iteration. It all sounded rather
scam like to me, but I gave them the benefit of doubt, just in case the
poor girls were telling the truth. I am quite unconvinced though due to
the lack of luggage on their behalf and the topic of how they got to
Suria KLCC from KLIA was quickly changed. One of the girls produced a
notebook (complete with a “Terima Kasih – RM 3.60” sticker on the
front) and asked me for my number so they could pay me back tomorrow.

names.jpg

I don’t read Chinese (but I speak it fluently, thank you very much) so here’s the translation from a friend:
Zhao Shu Juen
shu means elegant , related to a woman, also means ‘woman’,
juen = something like ‘good woman’

Zhang Jie
jie means clean
Zhao and Zhang are family names.

Terima Kasih indeed…I did write down my cell phone number to humor
them, plus I wanted them to write their names in it too. However, I did
not give them any money, because even if the price tag accidentally
left a ‘B’ out and it was actually RMB (The People’s Currency), I doubt
that goods in China would have a “Terima Kasih” in red above. I did not
point this out to them though, since I was still waiting for them to
write their names. Heh.

You’ll never guess what they asked next.

“Can we borrow your camera for a day and return it to you tomorrow?”

Right…

No.

“Can we call you tomorrow and you borrow us the camera for the day then?”

I didn’t even find the need to continue the conversation. I told
them to go to the police if they really need help, they would direct
them to the embassy and left.

They did not call me today. πŸ™‚

Maxis MMS Road Show (girls)

maxis_mms_roadshow.jpg

Here are the photos of the Maxis MMS Road Show. Okay, the girls of
the Maxis MMS Roadshow anyway. πŸ˜‰ We went to see Shetland ponies and
found out that the event was over, but all is not lost coz I got some
photos of the Maxis girls and also the Movado fashion show at Lot 10
instead. Here’s the Maxis MMS roadshow, and to put up some semblance
that I was taking photos of the roadshow instead of the girls, here’s a
shot of the booths ;):

maxis_roadshow.jpg

There were four Maxis girls there, but I could only take photos of
two of them before we had to go to the Movado fashion parade. This is
Girl #1:

This is Girl #2, which we all agreed was the best looking of all 4.

maxis_pretty_girl.jpg

My apologies if there is any perceived objectification of women,
that is not intended and this is not the direction sixthseal.com is
heading. Daniel was complaining about the lack of girls and you know
how I like to please my readers, so here is the first batch. The Movado
photo shoot has good looking guys and girls so if you want to see
those, leave a comment (it would take a long time to post and I need
motivation :p). BTW, I swear one of the models looked familiar, somehow
I associate her as one of Stephanie’s friends and she used to keep a
blog too? Anyway, I’m sorry I can’t reply the comments now, I have to
rush off to Chilli’s (BSC) soon because my paycheck just cleared so
dinner’s on me.

Kempen Kerjaya PDRM @ Bukit Bintang

bbpolice.jpg

I’ve never seen so much police at the same place at the same time.
There was road block at Jalan Bukit Bintang and I thought there was a
major raid or something on a drug safe house at Jalan Alor or something
(considering the armored vehicles and the major police presence) but it
was a procession of some sort. I was there at around 3:30 pm and it was
called Kempen Kerjaya PDRM which I would transalate as PDRM’s (Polis
Di-Raja Malaysia – Malaysian Royal Police) Campaign of Success. It was
organized by MCA, I think. Here are the photos:

Armored police vehicles. If you find one of these outside your front gate, well…you must have done something very naughty.

Digi MMS Roadshow Performance 2003 @ KL Plaza

digimms.jpg

There was a Digi MMS Roadshow event going on at KL Plaza last week.
I happened to be there because I wanted to get a new SIM card. I
managed to catch the 7:10 pm dance performance on the outdoor stage at
7:10 pm. It was a roadshow to promote Multimedia Messaging Service
(MMS) capabilities, organized by Digi. Here’s the photos of the
performance on the 29th of August 2003:

The event has a Hitz FM DJ (didn’t catch his name, don’t listen to
radio) and an assistant giving out free showbags. I still remember the
starting phrase he made “I hope you enjoyed that performance…it seems
like one of the girls had a little too much to eat for dinner though.”
Even though it was made in jest, that girl looked plenty pissed when
she walked off stage, too bad I was taking a photos of the crowd so I
didn’t get that.

presenter.jpg

He said I probably only wanted a photo of his assistant. Heh.

Anyway, the DJ asked the crowd who wanted a showbag and no one said
anything or moved so I said I’ll have one since I was just in front of
the stage taking photos while the others were standing a respectful
distance behind. πŸ˜‰ I got the DJ and his assistant to pose for me while
I was at it too. Anyway, they just gave it to me but the other people
who came up after me had to answer questions or do stuff.

showbag.jpg

I didn’t stay on to see what happened after that, but here’s the contents of the show bag:

1 x Digi travelling bag
1 x Digi metal coin container (piggy bank?)
1 x Digi pen with neck strap
1 x Digi MMS promotional brochure

Miss Malaysian Chinese (Borneo Cultural Festival, Sibu) – Miss Photogenic photo shoot

group.jpg

I headed down to Rejang Esplanade for this early this morning. It
was supposed to be at 8 am but I forgot that Sibu is running at GMT + 9
(+1 is Tardy Savings Time) instead of GMT + 8 like the rest of
Malaysia. πŸ™‚ The photographers and subjects (12 girls – finalists of a
local pageant) only started trickling in when it was nearly 9 am. This
is supposed to serve the dual function of providing photos for the Miss
Photogenic judges and a photography contest. There is no charge unless
you want to enter the contest (RM 10) but that requires negatives +
prints so digicams would not qualify. I think I managed to get shots of
all the girls before my battery ran out. I had to use fast flash in a
lot of the photos due to a strong backlight (the sun). To tell you the
truth, it became hard to differentiate which ones I’ve taken and which
ones I haven’t – it didn’t help that most of them were wearing similar
colored outfits so I had to go “red w/ black spots – done”, “red w/ boa
– done” etc etc. It was fun nevertheless – there was a low photographer
to subject ratio so you could get a lot of one on one time with the
candidates, it’s pretty versatile. Anyway, here are the shots from
today:

SEXPO 2002 Melbourne

The best photo I took today. Thanks, Cherie, for being a good sport!

I just came back from SEXPO and it was great. I came in just as the
first stage show was starting. It’s a devil themed striptease by
Brianna from Club X.

Gotta love the cape

She did a very good job, lots of eye contact with the audience and
her set was full of energy too. From her set, she looks like one of
those girls who looks real innocent but can be nasty too.
Unfortunately, she didn’t get much of a response from the crowd, it was
still early at that time and alcohol induced rowdiness was still at a
minimum then. πŸ™‚ I didn’t get many photos though, coz the stage shows
cannot be photographed unless you have a media pass (SEXPO policy). I
only managed to take a couple of photos before a security guard waved
at me and mouthed “no photos”.

Brianna has a nice smile too

Anyway, the next stage show is a male striptease and hmm…I wish I
could perform like that guy. Heh. The stripper is Donny from Crystal
T’s and he was doing a cowboy themed number. It was really good, even
from a guy’s point of view. I also got a G-string rose from the
presenters. They were throwing bunches of them from the stage and I got
one. It’s a G-string hidden in a plastic rose.

The expo started getting crowded at around noon

There wasn’t any more stage shows until 1 pm, so I browsed around
the booths for a while. I got myself a T-shirt with “RELEASE SARAH
TONIN” printed in front for A$25. That just works on so many levels,
and I couldn’t resist. It’s a play on all the Release Kevin
Mitnick/Dmitry Sklyarov/whoever T-shirts. Sarah Tonin, who is in jail
for being too er..ecstatic, can be released by posting bail at your
friendly neighbourhood drug dealer. Bail is set at A$35.

Saints and Sinners

There was a lot of exhibitors there, mostly adult shops, brothels
and alternative culture booths. The biggest exhibitors were
adultshop.com and Club X. I browsed around for a while before catching
the next stage show – a Body Bitz presentation of their body moulding
thingy. It’s some sort of cement type stuff which solidifies in 45
seconds. Basically you pour the stuff into a bucket or some other
receptacle and immerse any part of your anatomy in it. It then sets and
you’ll have a mold of the said piece of anatomy. Andy from Big Brother
(Australia) was demonstrating how it works.

Andy topless, but you’ve already seen that before in Big Brother: Uncut

The mold was then auctioned off to the highest bidder. It is
supposed to be one of only two casts of her breasts. The picture didn’t
turn out too well, coz I had to take it from far back. I arrived too
late to get a good spot. However, I could take as many pictures as I
wanted coz the security is only in front.

It’s hard to get shots of the booths in crowded conditions

I walked around some more after that and got another freebie – a
video of The Making of “The Private Gladiator” by Private Gold.
Unfortunately, I don’t have a VCR, in fact, I’ve never even owned one.
Anyway, there was also a rally simulator there and it was pretty good
too.

Not your grampa’s motion simulator

A$5 for entry and it’s a 3 minute ride in a motion simulator. It
rocks, the motions are not your standard run of the mill movements, but
really “hold on to your hats” ones. I was not expecting that and nearly
fell headfirst into the screen. Apparently, the hand holds are not just
for decoration but actually serve a function here. This thing here puts
the word MOTION into MOTION SIMULATOR.

Kages on King

There was also a lot of booths offering nude pictures with their
girls. A good place to cop a feel if you’re into that sort of thing.
The girls are pretty easy going too, within reason. Gallery
Entertainment had one where you can pose with two fully nude girls.
Club X has two, one is a topless one and the other is with a
dominatrix. Kages on King’s has the best variety of girls and most of
them are pretty hot. Not that I went to any, of course.

Being disabled doesn’t mean your sex life is over as this woman dressed only in sheer netting attests. You can check out an article from PlugLust relating to this one.

There was also a small part dedicated to health and the disabled.

I love this car, it’s made for one driver and the passenger seat is occupied by tank of N20

Anyway, there was also non-sex industry stuff on display. There was
a big car show at the back with vintage and souped up cars. There was
also an F1 boat dealer (like the ones seen in Tomorrow Never Dies).
Those cockpits are really small. I squeezed into it and felt
claustrophobic once the hatch was closed. It could barely hold me.

A different kind of sexy

There was also a light plane dealer. It costs A$16,000, which isn’t a lot considering it’s a aeroplane.

The girls were painted using body paint

The next stage show I managed to catch was a body painting competition with the girls from Kages on King.

The painters then pressed against the girls to get the imprints on their white T-shirts

There was also a shadow theatre running where two couples simulate
sex behind a piece of cloth. This was also done on a highway somewhere
a couple of days back to promote SEXPO. The police have yet to release
the road fatalities statistics from that day.

Shadow theatre. Wayang kulit never looked so good

Other interesting things of note are:

Off Ya Tree having a glass pipe making demonstration

The car show girls taking a break by going into the demostration spas

The walking dick

Crystal T’s girls. I give them best of show. Quality.

Anyway, I did manage to catch Ron Jeremy [ronjeremy.com] after all. He came in with Jacklyn Lick [jacklynlick.com] to do autographs together. Unfortunately, the other US porn star who is slated to appear – Serenity
[serenity.net] did not come with them. I got a signed photo taken with
Ron and Jacklyn. The most commonly heard comments around their booth
were “that dude is a porn star??”, usually said in incredulous tones.
Heh. Ron Jeremy is one of the most recognized male porn stars in the
world, and he has 1600 (!!!) films under his belt, no pun intended.
Jacklyn looks older in real life than in her films, but she’s friendly
and eager to talk. The photo came out pretty good. I was actually
respecting her personal space and just put an arm around her, but she
pulled down her top and put my hand on her breast. For the record, I
moved it to the side, and not just because I didn’t want to obscure her
breasts from the photo, but also coz I’m in a relationship and I don’t
think my girlfriend will appreciate me posting a photo of me grabbing a
porn star’s boobs in my blog. πŸ™‚ So there you go, if you want to touch
a porn star’s boobs, go to SEXPO tomorrow, it’s the last day. Between
you and me, now there’s one less thing on my list of things to do
before I die. πŸ˜‰

Melbourne Spring Fashion Week

Part I: Dunlop Retro in association with General Pants C

I arrived at The Tent about 10 minutes late for the Dunlop Retro show. I
was under the impression that the City Square is closer to Melbourne
Central Station than Flinders Street Station, so I had to walk down
Swanston Street from Melbourne Central. Thus, I had to stand behind the
seats, impairing my shots somewhat. I also forgot to force flash, so some
pictures came out too blurry. I’m kicking myself for missing the lingerie
show because the audience is really close to the catwalk. Heh. There is no
cordon between the seats and the catwalk and the catwalk is not elevated,
so you could literally reach out with your arms and touch the models. If
you’re so inclined, that is. I assume that would cause you to be
forcefully ejected from the venue though. =D Anyway, these are the shots
from the Dunlop Retro show:

Part II: Jeans West

The next show was Jeans West and I had gotten a good seat this time. The
best seats in the house is the end of the catwalk of course, but you need
a photographer’s pass for that. Anyway, there was a freebie on each seat –
a Jeans West bag and a 10% discount voucher for all Victorian Jeans West
stores. I saw this staff member having to clean the catwalk with a rag
because people keep on stepping onto it, leaving footprints. She was going
“Please don’t step on the catwalk” and people were totally ignoring her
and stepping on it anyway. Poor girl. This show was longer than the Dunlop
Retro one (which lasted only 15 minutes). There were three sets for a
total of 30 minutes, I believe. Here are the shots from the Jean West
show:
